Why buy a slurry spreader?

Everybody who raises pigs knows that the use of slurry has to be well managed. Our premises are built in such a way that all animal waste gathers in the septic tank. In the piggery, there is a powerful ventilation exhausting smells. Regarding the use of slurry, we looked for different technical possibilities to transport it. After much thought and comparison, we chose a JOSKIN tanker of the Belgian manufacturer.

Several Polish and Ukrainian manufacturers of these technologies are active on the Ukrainian market. Four years ago, we went to Joskin company's stand at Kiev's agricultural fair and their quotation convinced us. We bought this tanker and we are very satisfied of it. For a company such as ours, it is perfectly suitable.

We have two large slurry pits. We empty them once every two months and transport their contents to spread them on our grounds. I can say that we feel the economical impact. From a practical point of view, a sixth of our grounds is treated with slurry, i.e. 200-250 ha. We spread 20 t/ha on maïs fields. On these grounds, we do no apply any other fertilizers anymore, which increases the farm output. Furthermore, bad smells have significantly been reduced thanks to the Joskin tanker.

During the summer, we are trying to fertilize the fields that are located far away from the village and in the winter, those that are nearer. I would like to say that this technology is very easy to use. Some company representatives showed us how to use it and to date, we sill have not encountered a single problem.
