In Attert, in southeastern Belgium, the Ferme du Faascht has diversified its operations by combining dairy and meat production with a horticultural greenhouse and a biomethanisation unit. For the past six months, Christophe Thomas, a driver for the company, has been working with a Volumetra 26000T slurry tanker equipped with a Vacu-Storm pump: "We were really surprised by the machine's capacity. Now, we have more and more areas to cover, and larger quantities to deal with too, and we have to complete jobs within very tight deadlines. So we need equipment like this to spread; otherwise, we would have to work day and night. I can drive with a flow rate of more than 8 m³/min without any problems. The centrifugal pump has a tremendous discharge capacity, even with slurry, which allows us to maintain such a high work rate that I sometimes have to wait for the refill tanks.”
Even during filling, time is optimised. "The combination of the vacuum pump and the filling arm is very effective." The tank fills up very quickly and is therefore ready for use again very quickly—especially since the arm folds up automatically. I can start spreading again right away, because I know the tanker will fold the arm on its own.”
Next to the machine, Christophe Thomas highlights the excellent service: "We also chose JOSKIN because it offers excellent after-sales service. If I have a problem, I can call, and they will give me an answer right away or try to help me resolve the issue over the phone.” He also adds that he is satisfied with his local dealer, Ets Molitor et Fils.
