Increased efficiency, adapted fertilisation and nitrogen losses avoided

Transylvanian Pure Farming is an agricultural cooperative active in organic pumpkin growing, pumpkin seed oil processing and organic Mangalica pig breeding. The cooperative recently acquired a Modulo2 12000MEB slurry tanker fitted with a Terrasoc 2800/7S arable injector.

"This equipment helps us to solve the problem of using natural fertilisers from pig farming in organic agriculture, namely soil fertilisation," says Olimpiu Simionca, CEO and co-founder of the Transylvanian Pure Farming cooperative. "The JOSKIN slurry tanker has a large capacity of 12 m³ and, thanks to its vacuum pump, it fills up very quickly. The Terrasoc injector - similar to a harvester - is hitched to the rear of the tanker. It can penetrate the soil to a depth of 20 to 25 cm, where the slurry is incorporated," he adds.

In Romania, official environmental regulations prohibit the spreading of organic fertilisers in winter. "We have a very short period during which we can fertilise with organic fertilisers and, in spring, we are limited in time, because when the plants start to grow, we cannot bring mechanical equipment into the field. That is also why we try to do as much work as possible at the same time," explains Olimpiu Simionca.

He goes on telling us that this JOSKIN acquisition enables them to solve several problems:

"In spring, in the short and precious time we have to work with our machines, we are able to fertilise and carry out preliminary soil preparation, followed by seedbed preparation and seeding. In autumn, after the harvest, using the same equipment, we remove weeds and stimulate the germination of seeds, at the same time as applying liquid fertilisers. "

Mr Simionca underlines the good cooperation with his dealer Tehnodiesel, mentioning that the machine start-up went perfectly and delivery was very quick, despite the machine's imposing size.
