PENDISLIDE START General Points

General Points

The Pendislide START is a line spreading boom with skids and a working width of 9 m, 10.5 or 12 m. Designed to meet the specific needs of middle-size tanker owners, it offers an adapted, high-quality spreading solution at an attractive price. It is very sturdy thanks to its design in high tensile steel sections and is fully galvanised for an optimal protection against corrosion and a long service life. This spreading boom is equipped with skids with a 25-cm spacing, which lay the slurry at the foot of the plants, without dirtying them. It is therefore a real specialist in meadow fertilisation. As big brother of the Pendislide BASIC, the START version guarantees higher yields without increasing the tank overall dimensions since it is fitted with an ingenious double rear folding system. It is also compatible with a wide range of slurry tankers. Not only can it be fitted to models with an integrated linkage or a pre-equipment for integrated linkage, but it can also be mounted directly on rear buttresses. The Pendislide START is equipped as standard with an automaton directly connected to the tractor and has all the electrohydraulic equipment required for its operation, both in open and closed circuit.

PENDISLIDE START Easy Fitting

Easy Fitting

3 types of pre-equipment are available to fit a Pendislide START spreading boom on a JOSKIN tanker. The first pre-equipment, available on Modulo2, requires rear buttresses: it consists of bolted boom supports and two tie rods bolted on either side of the support for more stability. Designed to be as close as possible to the tanker in order to reduce the overhang, it is also height-adjustable in order to keep an optimal working angle of the spreading boom of 45°,  regardless of the size of the tyres. The second pre-equipment is available for all other tankers that do not have a hydraulic linkage, but are fitted with a pre-equipment for an integrated linkage. Finally, the third solution concerned tankers with a complete hydraulic linkage.

START 9 and 10.5-m spreading booms come with one vertical macerator as standard, while 12-m booms have two. Each is fitted with 2 knife holders, each with 6 knives. These are compressed by a central spring on counter blades fitted on the 2 opening lids on either side of the macerator and imitate the movement of a pair of scissors to cut away foreign bodies. These are first pinched between the circular knife and the outer edge of the orifice, then progressively cut. This operation is repeated 6 times with each revolution of the blade holder, guaranteeing a perfectly uniform slurry. The air intake device in the middle of the knives ensures a continuous flow through the hoses. Last but not least, the two lids and a stone trap make maintenance quick and easy.

PENDISLIDE START Control Automaton

Control Automaton

An automaton with control box (Easy-CONTROL) is part of the standard equipment of the spreading boom and it can be directly connected to the tractor. In addition to a conventional electrical outlet, a single-acting hydraulic spool valve with free return or Load Sensing control is required for the boom to operate correctly. No pre-equipment is required on the tanker. The spreading boom can be used in manual or automatic mode. At the beginning of the row, the automatic sequential control activates the following functions successively: lower hoses, open valve and start macerator. At the end of the row, it closes the rear valve, deactivates the macerator and lifts the hoses (TWIST anti-drip system). All these actions can be controlled one by one in manual mode.

PENDISLIDE START TWIST Anti-Drip System, Lock-Matic© Security, Anti-Crash

TWIST Anti-Drip System, Lock-Matic© Security, Anti-Crash

This TWIST anti-drip system lifts the boom and therefore prevents any slurry drops on the road or losses in the field when manoeuvering. When in transport mode (e.g. driving on public roads), the Lock-Matic© system ensures that the boom is secure, by automatically locking it by clamps on a stop integrated into its frame. Another major advantage for transport is that the boom also benefits from an independent double rear folding system. This allows the boom to be kept as compact as possible when folded, thus avoiding the need to add extra brackets on the tanker. Finally, for added safety even on uneven terrain, the Pendislide START is fitted as standard with an "anti-crash" system that automatically folds up the boom ends in the event of contact with an obstacle.

PENDISLIDE START Skids

Skids

The Pendislide START is equipped with wear-resistant Ertalon skids, fixed at 25 cm intervals. Not only do these skids exert continuous pressure on the soil thanks to a system of spring leaves (45° angle), but they also keep vegetation out of the way, guaranteeing precise delivery of nutrients as close as possible to the roots, without soiling leaves or forage.
