Without extensions
Considered as the multi-talent in the JOSKIN range, the Drakkar is a multipurpose trailer for the transport of many different types of material: silage, grains, pulp, beets, potatoes, etc. Thanks to its unique and very fast unloading system, with a hermetic conveyor belt and a moving front wall, the material avoids being damaged, while the body is perfectly stable during the use. Its low weight is due to the synthetic side walls (UV-resistant Carbofont), which allows to transport a maximal payload. Furthermore, its running gear ensures a perfectly stable driving performance, whatever the terrain type.
The Drakkar has an industrial hermetic conveyor belt that moves the material during the unloading operation. This high-resistance conveyor belt is rolled up on a cylinder driven by 2 hydraulic engines at the back of the tapered trailer body (+ 4 cm at the front). During unloading, the front wall, together with the conveyor belt, moves backwards to accompany the material without compressing it. At the end of the operation, it can have a pushing effect resulting in compact and firm heaps, if the user wishes to. The transparent perspex plate (10 mm thick) on the front wall ensures an excellent visibility when loading and unloading. The floor and the wall resume their initial positions thanks to a hydraulic engine at the front of the trailer, which is connected to a system with a yaw chain. This revolutionary system therefore allows a safe unloading without tipping, even in sheds or low places, without compressing the transported material (therefore no shocks or bruising on the transported products). The emptying speed of the Drakkar is optimised to less than one minute with any type of product. At the end of the emptying process, the driver only makes the conveyor belt go one meter back while closing the door, before returning to the field. With a simple impulse, the conveyor belt will return automatically to the front position to receive a new load.
Unloading is easy and clog-free thanks to the high-clearance rear door (1,120 mm without extensions), which is operated by 2 double-acting cylinders. A locking device on the cylinder makes sure the door is perfectly closed and avoids any unexpected opening during transportation. A limit switch on the door allows the conveyor belt to move only when the door is fully open. In some situations, it is preferable to leave the door closed to unload through the 3 standard grain chutes (60 x 27 cm) or to open it only slightly. To that end, there are two control boxes at the rear of the vehicle to make the conveyor belt move forward or backward progressively. A thick seal of industrial quality around the rear of the Drakkar ensures perfect tightness.
The rear (upper and lower) scrapers remove any remaining material on the moving floor. The one at the front prevents foreign material to accumulate between the floor and the conveyor belt. Large side scrapers ensure that the body is tight for all types of products.
All Drakkar are equipped as standard with a drawbar suspension. On double-axle models, it is a mechanical one with a bundle of cross leaves between the drawbar and the chassis to absorb shocks or movements perfectly. On triple-axle models, the suspension is ensured by two double-acting cylinders with a large-capacity nitrogen accumulator. Nothing is more comfortable! Furthermore, the control box in the cab allows you to modify the body slope. It is therefore ideal for working on headlands, driving on heaps or simply transferring extra weight to the rear axle of the tractor, especially in difficult harvesting conditions. The double-axle Drakkar 6600 and 7600 are equipped as standard with a bolted Roll-Over running gear. This concept, which features, among other things, parabolic suspension leaves mounted under the axle square, guarantees an upward traction line and therefore perfect traction ease. The other models are fitted as standard with a Hydro-Tandem (8600 with 2 axles) or Hydro-Tridem (8600 and 9600 with 3 axles) hydraulic suspension, offering a 24 cm clearance and perfect load distribution for maximum stability.
All Drakkar are standard fitted with various pieces of pre-equipment to easily add various options, either at the time of the order or later (even years after the purchase). Among the most interesting options, you can find: Duo-Cover nets or hermetic covers, hydraulic extensions, transfer augers, hydraulic drop sides, plus many more!
