PENDISLIDE BASIC General Points

General Points

The Pendislide BASIC is a spreading boom with skids and a working width of 6 m or 7.5 m designed to meet small tanker owners’ specific needs and therefore provide them with a quality spreading solution at attractive price. With a lightened structure made of high tensile steel profile tubes, this boom is fully galvanised for an optimal protection and a long lifespan. The skids, with a 25-cm spacing, lay the slurry at the foot of the plants, without damaging them. The Pendislide Basic is therefore a real specialist in meadow fertilisation. It is designed to be directly fitted on the rear manhole (diameter: 600 mm) of the tanker. In this way, it is compatible with both new and existing machines, without necessarily having any pre-equipment. However, it can also be fitted on tankers with a linkage or a pre-equipment for integrated linkage, by means of an intermediate part. Two versions are available: one to be directly connected to the tractor, and the other including an automaton with direct connection to the tractor. In this configuration, this spreading boom has all the electrohydraulic equipment it needs to work properly, both in open and closed circuit.

PENDISLIDE BASIC Easy Fitting

Easy Fitting

Four tanker adaptations are available for BASIC spreading booms. The first one is an adaptation of the 600-mm manhole, which can be easily fitted to any tanker using hooks and two tie rods bolted to either side of the chassis for added stability. This frame has various hitching heights, depending on the type of tyres on the tanker, thus offering the possibility to keep the optimal injection angle of 45°. The frame is designed to be as close to the tanker as possible, resulting in a very compact machine with as little overhang as possible. A second adaptation is available for tankers without a rear manhole or hydraulic linkage, but with a pre-equipment for integrated linkage. The third solution is designed for tankers already equipped with a complete hydraulic linkage. The final option is to fit the spreading boom to the buttresses or to the chassis.

PENDISLIDE BASIC Skids

Skids

The spreading boom is fitted with wear-resistant Ertalon skids, with a 25-cm spacing, applying a continuous pressure on the ground by means of a system of spring leaves (45° angle). By moving apart the vegetation, these skids ensure a precise distribution of the nutrients close to the roots without dirtying the leaves or fodder.

PENDISLIDE BASIC Scalper© Macerator

Scalper© Macerator

The macerator is of utmost importance to make sure the spreading implement works properly. BASIC spreading booms are equipped as standard with a vertical macerator fitted with 2 blade holders, each with 6 knives. These are compressed by a central spring on counter blades fitted on the 2 opening lids on either side of the macerator and imitate the movement of a pair of scissors to cut away foreign bodies. These are first pinched between the circular knife and the outer edge of the orifice, then progressively cut. This operation is repeated 6 times with each revolution of the blade holder, guaranteeing a perfectly uniform slurry. The air intake device in the middle of the knives ensures a continuous flow through the hoses. Last but not least, the two lids and a stone trap make maintenance quick and easy.

PENDISLIDE BASIC Control Automaton

Control Automaton

An automaton with control box (Easy-CONTROL) is part of the standard equipment of the spreading boom and it can be directly connected to the tractor. In addition to a conventional electrical outlet, a single-acting hydraulic spool valve with free return or Load Sensing control is required for the boom to operate correctly. No pre-equipment is required on the tanker. The spreading boom can be used in manual or automatic mode. At the beginning of the row, the automatic sequential control activates the following functions successively: lower hoses, open valve and start macerator. At the end of the row, it closes the rear valve, deactivates the macerator and lifts the hoses (TWIST anti-drip system). All these actions can be controlled one by one in manual mode.

PENDISLIDE BASIC TWIST Anti-Drip System, Lock-Matic© Security

TWIST Anti-Drip System, Lock-Matic© Security

This TWIST anti-drip system lifts the boom and therefore prevents any slurry drops on the road or losses in the field when maneuvering. When travelling in transport mode, e.g. on public roads, the Lock-Matic© system ensures that your spreading boom is secure: it is automatically locked by a clamping system on a stop integrated into its frame. This autonomous rear folding system allows to keep a maximum compactness once the boom is folded but also to avoid extra brackets on the tanker.
