Galvanisation
Surface Treatment

Agricultural machines are used all year round and, most of the time, in contact with aggressive substances (slurry, manure, chemical fertilisers, etc.) causing corrosion. Usually, the hot-dip galvanisation at 450°C is the first choice for a durable steel protection against rust. Compared to painting, galvanisation requires little or no maintenance. It provides an excellent protection against bad weather and is not damaged by the mechanical deformation of the steel. During the protection process, the sheet is covered with three layers of a mixture of steel and zinc and an outer layer of pure zinc. Unlike paint, which is only found on the surface, these layers are perfectly anchored in the steel. The outer layer is less hard but is very shock absorbing. If its exposure to corrosion remains moderate, galvanisation provides an effective protection for at least 60 years! All parts, regardless of their size, can be galvanised in our own factory and then be used for the assembly of all machines from the JOSKIN range.

Galvanised boards
Lighting and Safety

The galvanised boards protect the knife holder and the knives against possible impacts with the ground on hilly terrain.

Galvanised Chassis
Chassis Accessories

The hot-dip galvanisation of the chassis (standard on some vehicles and implements) provides a maximum protection against corrosion. During the galvanising process, the liquid zinc penetrates the surface of the steel and protects it "from the inside" against external aggression and its usual consequences, such as rust formation. The galvanised component is one of the best protected parts on agricultural machinery.

As an option, it is possible to equip your dorsal boom with an adapter for suction on a funnel, like with the JUMBO arm.
JOSKIN offers several options of dorsal booms: first with a rear or front pivot point, then with 2 or 3 hydraulic joints. Depending on the intended use and whether or not you are using a spreading implement, you will easily find the mode that suits you best. The main advantage of a rear dorsal boom is its compactness and the possibility to pump from the rear of the tanker, while the front model offers a better visibility to the driver when handling it as well as a compatibility with all spreading implements (even the widest booms). The kinematics of dorsal booms allow a maximum lifting angle to be reached when pumping into an off-ground container or pit, and a maximum diving angle when pumping into an underground pit. The dorsal boom can be used with different pieces of equipment and in a variety of situations: vacuum pump, centrifugal pump, suction on funnel, etc. Different models are available, including with telescopic extensions, an optional turbo-filler or submerged turbo, etc. In short: a solution for every situation. All our dorsal booms are equipped as standard with a central lubrication system for a regular, easy and safe maintenance.
The JOSKIN dorsal booms can be equipped with an optional telescopic extension. This device becomes very interesting for reaching greater depths!
As an option, it is possible to equip your dorsal boom with a turbo filler: it will be installed at the inlet of the tank, at the level of the last joint or at the end of the boom, and will thus be submerged in the slurry.
Galvanised Platform
Outer Accessories

JOSKIN trailers can be equipped with a galvanised steel platform. With its large surface area, it offers the user a safe place to work when handling a cover. This platform is usually (but not necessarily) accompanied by a cover and can be fitted on the front of the tipping trailer or on the rear door (or both).

Gauge wheel
Settings

The gauge wheels on the JOSKIN aerators are primarily used as a height adjustment system for some implements (a key element of an aerator). They can be made of steel (advantage: no punctures) or reinforced rubber (advantage: flexibility). When working on very hilly lands, it is advisable to increase the number of gauge wheels to better follow the ground relief.

Gauge Wheel
Settings
Arable injectors and some very wide spreading booms are equipped with gauge wheels as standard to stabilise the implement and even out the injection/spreading depth.
Gaw (2" 1/2)
Outer Accessories

The optional 2''1/2 “gaw” fitted on the Aquatrans ensures a perfect watertightness and a quick and easy emptying of your water bowser while slightly spreading over the width.

General Points
Filling Arm
In general, all filling arms manufactured by JOSKIN can be combined with an optional immersion pipe in the tank in order to work in both suction and pressure mode.

The "gooseneck" scatterer directs the flow of fertiliser vertically towards the ground, a bit like a slurry wall! The height of the gooseneck can be adjusted, which allows to adapt the working width.

Grain Chute
Outer Accessories

The JOSKIN range of agricultural tipping trailers is equipped as standard with a large central grain chute. As an option, it is also possible to install a second one. The Drakkar has 3 grain chutes as standard.

Guillotine door
Inner Accessories

A guillotine door can be fitted as an option. It is tight for the loaded manure (not for water or slurry) and is continuously adjustable over the entire height of the beaters. It therefore not only prevents loss of load during transport, but also regulates the dosage during spreading.
