Michel Baudet S.A. company, located in Grolley (Switzerland), had to face the change caused by the evolution of the agricultural industry. Its manager, Michel Baudet, comes back on 45 years of service to farmers. Progress and ever evolving technology allowed to develop ever more important and sophisticated machines, that led to changes in the habits of consumers, but also sales representatives. Farmers are buying less often, but bigger machines. Technology and sophistication were also to be noticed on equipment, with the development of electronics, which led to the automation of some tasks and a more precise management of agricultural works (GPS).

In order to better serve his customers and to show to advantage his machines, Michel Baudet decided, after much thought, to move his workshop of Fribourg to Grolley, in the heart of the agricultural area and close to German Switzerland.

Furthermore, the arrival of Internet has significantly changed the relationship between customers and sales representatives. Farmers already know the product they want to buy before meeting the dealer.

The choice of brands is one of the keys to success. Michel Baudet told the Norman Swiss newspaper Agri: "If I hadn't chosen JOSKIN, for instance, and especially its programme of slurry tankers, the story of the company would have been completely different. And when a brand is good, I remain faithful to it.
