With the same DNA as the R6S6, this model is a version of the comb harrow optimised to meet the conditions encountered in the livestock breeding sector. The row of scrapers on the first line of this harrow carries out preparatory work by spreading molehills and dung to facilitate and improve the work of the 5 following rows of spring tines. The spring tines aerate the ground for better penetration of the nutritive elements contained in the manure and of the air and water in the ground. The Scariflex R6S5 is therefore the perfect implement for the cattle farmers who want to keep a dense quality grass cover for their cattle.

Durable Structure

The Scariflex R6S5 is designed to accompany you season after season. The quality of the high tensile steel and the galvanised finish ensure a long lifespan. The high tensile steel also provides an exceptional sturdiness, compactness and lightness. The few painted parts on the machine are coated with a 2K quality paint for a maximal protection through time.

Two tools in one single machine: ideal for mixed farming.

The work of the Scariflex R6S5 is carried out in 2 steps. The row of 60-cm levelling blades on half-flexible leaves first spreads molehills and then levels the ground. The 2nd tool, a quadruple row of galvanised spring tines (Ø 8 mm), then comes into action and scrapes the surface of the soil to extract the moss and other dead grass. This work allows fresh air to circulate again on the surface, thereby activating the humus formation process.

For more versatility and multiple uses during all seasons, the work intensity of each of these 2 tools can be adjusted independently.

Independent Adjustment of the Tool

Whether it is used in early spring to remove winter damages or in the summer to simply spread cow dungs, the Scariflex R6S5 can easily adapt to the conditions of the moment. Both tools can be adjusted in an independent manner. The degree of aggressiveness of the 60-cm levelling blades of the first row can be adjusted thanks to the configuration of the top link of the tractor and the position of the gauge wheels. A graduation provided for this purpose allows to quickly check the correct configuration. The working intensity of the five rows of spring tines of the 3rd line can be adjusted by means of an 8-position half-moon-type graduation system.

Compact Machine

With a universal basic frame of 2.4 m, the Scariflex R6S5 are efficient and compact machines. Thanks to their hydraulic folding system, they can go through even the narrowest paths without reaching trees or hedges. In order to guarantee total safety during transport, they are equipped with a mechanical safety device that prevents any accidental unfolding, even at high speed.

In working position, they are also standard fitted with rubber gauge wheels of Ø 375 x 150 mm (4 wheels on models from 4.8 m to 7.2 m and 6 wheels on models from 8.4 m to 10.8 m).

Even More Versatile

All Scariflex R6S5 are standard fitted with various pieces of pre-equipment to easily add many options, either at the time of the order or afterwards (even years after the machine left the factory). Among the most interesting options are scrapers on spring tines (for boar damages), an electric or pneumatic seeder, a signalling and lighting kit, wider steel wheels, the Variflex system (continuous modulation of tine aggressiveness via hydraulic adjustment with 3 to 5 compensation cylinders depending on the model and 1 central pressure adjustment cylinder, including a graduated sector visible from the driver's seat), etc.
