Cargo Chassis
The Ferti-Cargo2 is the flagship product of the range of JOSKIN muck spreaders with wide body in Cargo version. Deriving from the family of muck spreaders with “easy design and use”, they unite the principles that led to the very concept of this type of machine: lightness and sturdiness, easy maintenance and durability, maneuverable and economical (both regarding the budget as the energy consumption), wide body with bolted spreading unit for a possible disassembly if the muck spreader is transformed into a silage trailer. In short: a real multi-talent in XL version!
The Cargo2 implements are equipped as a standard with a Twist Lock "implement-chassis" coupling system, but also with “push-pull” hydraulic connectors for a quick change of the implements. Each implement comes with its own separate control box that can be easily connected to the control box of the chassis already installed in the driver's cab. A practical and compact solution!
The storage areas for the implements vary and are not always perfectly flat. That is the reason why the 4 storing stands are adjustable. In this way, your Ferti-Cargo2 implement can be unhitched in any situation, so that the chosen area is sufficiently load-bearing.
The monocoque body as well as various other components, such as the drawbar and the beater frame, are made of high tensile steel. This steel is characterised by its resistance and dynamic properties. It is thereby not necessary to add any body side reinforcements and it offers a considerably reduced empty weight. For maximum protection and therefore an increased durability, the Ferti-Cargo2 is also treated with a 2K industrial paint. The body with 1,050-mm or 1,380-mm high side walls (depending on the model) has a loading capacity from 18,42 m³ to 27.80 m³ (or even more if extensions are added). The moving floor consists of 4 Ø 14 mm marine chains with grade 80 (the highest grade in traction chains currently available) bolted to slats with (galvanised) closed profiles. It moves on a bolted galvanised floor, which can be replaced easily in case of wear. The moving floor is fitted with side tensioners that are easily accessible. The pulleys of the tensioners are made of cast iron and both moving floors are fitted with a central separator. Under the body there is a central corridor housing the hydraulic pipes as well as the electrical wiring in order to protect them from any contact with the transported material. In this way, the body forms a straight channel leading the manure towards the beaters. Since the spreading unit is wider (both inside and outside) than the body, the product can be distributed over the entire surface before being spread by the beaters.
The spreading width varies from 8 to 16 m, depending on the products to be spread. To achieve it, the two vertical beaters with 4 spirals (of 1,830 mm high on models from 6011 and 7011, and 2,080 mm on FC7014) rotate at a speed of 423 rpm and project the material by means of their bolted teeth in 400HB steel (80 x 60 mm). Two discs (Ø 1,000 mm - on HARDOX protection plate) with 3 fixed blades are located under the beaters to project material. The flow per hectare is adjusted easily by combining the speed of the tractor with that of the moving floor (flow meter within reach of the cab); a galvanised guillotine door (option) can also be an advantage. The beaters are driven by a wide-angle Walterscheid P.T.O.-shaft with overrunning clutch on the tractor side and cam security on the beaters side. The shaft drives the gearbox at 1,000 rpm, to which the two beaters are coupled (elastomer protection). The beaters are oversized in height and ensure an easy passage and crumbling of any potential dome of material in the body. They do not rest on the lower boxes, but they are suspended on the upper part of the spreading unit, in order to reduce the vertical pressure on the boxes, providing a better longevity and resistance to the assembly.
Your Ferti-Cargo2 muck spreader can be fitted with the modernest equipment. This allows you to replace the constant pressure flow regulator by a control box (option) such as the Ferti-Control 4000, which will give you access to the electric control of the moving floor drive, a reverser of the moving floor direction, a control for the spreader hydraulics, the coupling of a DPA system and much more. Depending on your needs, you can also equip your muck spreader with a static or dynamic weighing system with digital display in the cab, an ISOBUS control box, GPS tracking, etc. "Everything" is possible.
