Cargo Chassis
The Silo-CARGO design is based on that of the Silo-SPACE2, the JOSKIN silage trailer, and is optimised to boost the profitability of farmers and contractors. This machine pushes the boundaries in terms of loading capacity and manoeuvrability. Silage unloading is smooth and ultra-fast thanks to the tapered shape of the body and its moving floor, not to mention the high-clearance rear door and the hinged, sloping front wall!
CARGO implements are equipped as standard with a TWIST-LOCK "implement-chassis" coupling system, but also with “push-pull” hydraulic connectors for a quick change of the implements. As the ISOBUS technology is present on both implements and chassis, the whole system can be controlled directly via the tractor's terminal. So everything has been thought of to make your life as easy as possible!
Storage areas for the implements vary and are not always perfectly flat. That is the reason why the 4 storing stands are adjustable. In this way, your Silo-CARGO implement can be unhitched in any situation, as long as the chosen area is sufficiently load-bearing.
The tapered body shape (+ 4 cm at the rear compared to the front) allows the silage to expand sufficiently during the unloading process for rapid and complete emptying. The rear door has a large clearance and unloading is easy and clog-free thanks to its large opening, allowing higher loads to pass through it. The door is operated by two double-acting cylinders, which are protected by the door arms, and a spring-loaded mechanical locking device for a perfect closure. The front wall has been completely redesigned: painted and perforated (to prevent reflection from the tractor's work lights), it has been designed to load a maximum amount of silage, while offering the user a clear view on the inside of the body. To achieve this, our engineers have given it a 22° inclination and a hinge system to improve unloading operations by pushing the material and helping it to come loose. This mechanism ensures, among other things, a higher payload. On headlands, the hinge system of the front wall can also be very useful in low position to facilitate loading by the forage harvester.
To guarantee its robustness and power during unloading and over the long term, the moving floor of the Silo-CARGO is fitted as standard with 2 chain conveyors driven by 2 hydraulic motors with side gearboxes. Their profiled slats are alternately placed to ensure even load distribution. The yaw chains offer a high resistance to traction. Two sets of 4 Ertalon wear rails are placed on both sides of the body to prevent the moving floor and the body floor from scraping each other (steel against steel). The two hydraulic motors driving the moving floor are fitted with two gears: the first one to set the moving floor in motion and progressively increase its speed, and the second one for a quick and regular unloading.
All Silo-CARGO are standard fitted with various pieces of pre-equipment to easily add various options, either at the time of the order or later (even years after the purchase). Among the most interesting options, you can find: shredding beaters, the DUO-COVER covering nets, hydraulic extensions, plus many more!
