Dropside tipping trailers
The Tetra-CAP are double-axle tipping trailers with turntable that are ideal for transporting your seed crops (and many other products). They are all made of high tensile steel. The chassis has an ergonomic and durable design thanks to its hot-dip galvanisation (in the JOSKIN Group's galvanisation plant). The bodies are compact, robust and modular. The 3-way tipping system, as a standard, makes them even more versatile. In short: a real multi-talent trailer for transportation of different products!
The chassis of the Tetra-CAP is fitted on a running gear with parabolic leaves. It guarantees flexibility and high operating comfort, both in the field and on the road, even under the most difficult conditions. In extreme conditions, rubber suspension buffers also limit the leaf crushing, while maintaining a soft and smooth machine suspension. A lowered chassis provides a lower centre of gravity, which results in a better machine stability and an increased driving comfort, both on the road and in the field. In addition, the lowered body makes loading easier. The narrow chassis allows the use of wide wheels to maximise the stability. The operating comfort is also improved by the positioning of the axles, which is not left to chance. Indeed, the advanced position of the 1st axle (on turntable) offers an unprecedented manoeuvrability.
In addition to the qualities of the steel and 2K paint used to guarantee an outstanding durability, the drawbar and chassis are hot-dip galvanised, which provides the best possible protection against corrosion. The zinc penetrates into the metal surface, making it immune to scratches and rust. For an easier hitching, return springs (also galvanised) keep the drawbar at hitching height.
In some places difficult to reach or in order to tip precisely, it is good to be able to use the side-tip function. This is for example the case if you have to tip in chutes or longitudinal pits, or when the height of the building in which you are unloading does not allow you to tip backwards. In this case, the "3-way" function, standard on all Tetra-Cap, allows you to tip at the back (50°) as well as to the left (45°) or right (45°) side. The hydraulic tipping ram is fixed on an oscillating frame and the side tipping angle is automatically limited (limit cable). This makes, with a “train of tippers”, the 3-way tipping system an essential feature. All Tetra-CAP tipping trailers are equipped as standard with all the necessary equipment to couple several tipping trailers one behind the other.
The body offers many advantages: 3-way tipping system as standard, side panels that can be fully or partially removed according to the current needs, but also many possible combinations of side panels (50 cm, 60 cm or 80 cm) to achieve volumes up to 23.2 m³. By removing all the side panels, the tipping trailer can be used as a bale trailer to transport round bales, square bales or pallets. It is also possible to fit a rear grain auger driven by a hydraulic motor. In short: a real multipurpose tipping trailer.
The body is standard manufactured in the same special high tensile steel as the one used to manufacture road transport vehicles. It is the best guarantee of sturdiness for a relatively low weight. In addition, its structure with closed profiled tubes increases the resistance to pressure of the walls and give a fluid and modern design to the machine. Another proof of the sturdiness of the body is its floor made of 4 mm thick high tensile steel, which provides an ideal strength without increasing the empty weight. The body is also equipped all around with high-strength synthetic rubber seals (industrial quality). This ensures a perfect tightness and prevents even the smallest seeds and free-flowing products, such as rapeseed, from leaking out. The side panels are locked with a large number of hooks that increase the contact between the side panel and the floor seal. Even for journeys on very bumpy roads, the body provides a perfect tightness.
