General Points

The Trans-CAP agricultural-tipping trailers are the bestseller in the JOSKIN range of monocoque tipping trailers. Available with a single axle (from 10 to 12 t technically permissible payload) or a double axle (from 12 to 18 t technically permissible payload), they have a standard capacity from 10.20 m³ DIN to 21,90 m³ DIN. As an option, aluminium extensions of 25 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm or 100 cm, allow to significantly increase the total volume in order to get at any time a XL transport trailer. The Trans-CAP monocoque tipping trailers can have side walls of 100 cm (models 4500 and 5000), 125 cm (from 5000 to 6500) or 150 cm high (from 5000 to 6500) to adapt to all kinds of uses!

Design/Chassis

The chassis of the Trans-CAP tipping trailers is 900 mm wide and can therefore be fitted with wide wheels. It is made of profiles tubes of 250 x 100 x 6 mm on models 4500 and 5000, of 300 x 100 x 6 mm on 5500 and of 300 x 100 x 8 mm on 6000 and 6500. The Trans-CAP is fitted with a “Y-shaped” open drawbar that, given its structure, provides a very good weight/resistance ratio. Furthermore, its wide fixing points (same width as the chassis) further improve the maneuverability. This solution offers a straight pull/push line and a large vertical clearance at the eyelet and thereby also absorbing shocks. Please note that the drawbar has a cross-suspension ensuring the driving comfort of the whole carriage. The “Y-shaped” drawbar provides a natural traction line and increases the stability of the tipping trailer. This Y shape requires less power, and is therefore more economical and ecological.

Tapered, Light and Strong Body

The bodies of the Trans-CAP tipping trailers are made of a floor sheet and two side sheets in high tensile steel of 4 mm thick. The upper strip is reinforced to resist any accidental impact during loading and to guarantee the rigidity of the body (e.g. with heavier loads). The Trans-CAP bodies are available in 3 heights: 100 cm (for Trans-CAP 4500 and 5000), 125 cm (from Trans-CAP 5000) and 150 cm (from Trans-CAP 5500). As an option, they can be easily fitted with full aluminium grain extensions ( 25 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm or 100 cm), micro-perforated silage extensions ( 50 cm or 75 cm) or extensions with rods (25 cm). The manufacturing process not only guarantees top quality, but also ensures that the body is perfectly tapered. All Trans-CAP bodies are indeed 8 cm wider at the back in relation to the front, thus ensuring a complete and fluid emptying. The Trans-CAP bodies with 125 cm-high side walls are standard fitted with 4 large sight windows of 21 x 38 cm and those with 150-cm high side walls with 4 XL sight windows of 21 x 63 cm, so you always have a good view over the load! At the back, the Trans-CAP tipping trailers are equipped with a 1-part door with central grain chute (50 x 50cm) and hydraulic control. The door guarantees a perfect tightness thanks to its mechanical closing safety device and the wide industrial seal in a high-quality guide groove.

Safe Tipping

The telescopic hydraulic tipping ram is assembled on a double oscillating frame fitted with greased bearings and integrated in the chassis in a forward position. This system compensates the torsions due to the tipping strains and effectively protects the hydraulic ram and the body from distortions. The advanced position of the hydraulic ram also makes it quicker and easier to tip heavy loads. The back- and and upward position of the tipping hinges increases the unloading height. The standard safety valve, which is directly placed on the hydraulic tipping ram, prevents the body from unexpectedly falling down (e.g. when a hydraulic hose breaks). The first two elements of the hydraulic tipping ram are as a standard chromed. This anti-rust protection allows the body of the tipping trailer to be left tilted backwards, especially during the resting time on a harvesting site, without the risk of rust pitting. As an option, it is possible to add a P.T.O.-shaft driven hydraulic tipping pump with or without lowering control. The hydraulically operated rear door is opened by actuating a double-acting tractor distributor and closed by means of a mechanical side lock. This system allows a perfect tightness of the JOSKIN tipping trailers, even with small grains.

Running Gear

All Trans-CAP tipping trailers are fitted with a movable bolted running gear. This feature is particularly interesting because it allows to modify the weight on the eyelet, and thus on the back side of the tractor, especially when changing the tyres or the drawbar height. The Trans-CAP 4500 et 5000 are single-axle tipping trailers with bolted axle brackets. The models from 5000 to 6500 are standard fitted with a Roll-Over bogie with bolted table (clearance up to 24 cm). This running gear is equipped with parabolic leaves and is characterised by its large ground clearance, which is ideal for works on the fields as well as for a good driving comfort.
