JOSKIN equips its vehicles with double-circuit air brakes (red and yellow hoses) as standard. This assembly includes a compressed air tank as well as a brake regulator with 3 positions (loaded, half-loaded and empty). Before moving the machine, the driver manually selects the desired braking intensity according to the load being transported. As an option, it is possible to choose an automatic regulator that takes the loading degree into account and adapts the braking power. It is also possible to equip these brakes with the accessories necessary to comply with the European certification according to the EU 167/2013 standard, also known as "Mother Regulation". Although less and less in demand as it is mainly fitted to machines pulled by older tractors, single-circuit air brakes (black hose) can also be fitted to JOSKIN vehicles instead of the double-circuit version.
This device, which can only be used on the discharge side and with a vacuum pump, injects air at the bottom of the tank via a pipe perforated along its entire length: each hole is protected from the intrusion of slurry by a rubber part (“bubble bath” effect). The air expelled in this way creates movement in the tank and prevents sedimentation.
The air seeder with electric drive is equipped with a turbine that blows the seeds through pipes to the distributors. They then eject the seeds evenly after the splash plates and without any negative influence of the side winds or the pipe. This technique is an interesting solution for a quality seeding up to 6 m wide with 8 outlets, or 7.2 m wide with 12 outlets. The distribution grooves are available in different models and are ideally adapted to the types of seeds distributed (grass, green fertiliser, etc.). The tank has a capacity from 120 l to 300 l of seeds depending on the model. The seeder usually includes a platform to refill the tank safely.

The JOSKIN spreading booms (except the BASIC range) are all fitted as standard with an anti-crash safety device that provides extra safety when working on uneven ground. Each boom wing is equipped with springs and joints which, when spreading on bumpy ground, retract the ends of the boom (max. 80 cm) if they come into contact with the ground. Since the wings are fitted at the end of oblong holes, they can pivot and their height can be adjusted.
Depending on the model and equipment, some vehicles may have many grease nipples. It is usually necessary to grease them after a day's work, so this option can be a very useful tool to ensure a long service life to the machine. The system consists of a grease tank, an electric pump and a timer, all of which send the grease to where it is needed via cleverly placed pipes. You save time, you don't forget any grease nipples and the machine is always well maintained: this is a significant safety and time saving.
As an option, only JOSKIN single-axle vehicles can be equipped with the braking system called "automatic reverse". Similar to what is found on car trailers, it initiates braking when your vehicle tends to push the tractor. It then activates a deceleration movement until the machine is pulled by the tractor again. The system is said to be 'smart': it is equipped with a mechanism that recognises reverse driving and therefore does not brake in these conditions. The automatic reverse option is only available on machines with high hitch and is ideal for tractors that do not have brake plugs for the towed vehicle, like old timers, and that drive at low speeds (note: this system is not certified in all countries).
Unlike vacuum pumps, the slurry goes through the volumetric pumps and the flow rate mentioned here is the amount of liquid per minute. When used on slurry tankers, there could theoretically be an overflow. In order to avoid such a situation, an automatic filling stop system can be fitted. In this case, a signal from the float gauge gives the filling status and changes the position of the valves from "full" to "mixing in closed circuit". The pump then no longer sucks in slurry and does a mixing job.

JOSKIN has developed a new tool to easily operate the increasing number of hydraulic functions on agricultural machines, while protecting the equipment and the meadows/arable lands: the automatic management system. It is standard on many of the spreading solutions for the JOSKIN slurry tankers and takes over the various electrohydraulic functions in a programmed sequence. The Touch-Control control box is an ergonomic and efficient solution to easily control a combination of hydraulic functions specific to each spreading implement. This touch screen is installed in the tractor cab. As the spreading sequences differ from one implement to another, they are all stored in the ECU memory. The proper implement then only has to be selected, which makes it easier to use and change implements. In automatic mode, the START button launches the recorded sequence: opening the feeding valve, starting the macerator, lowering the implement to the ground, etc. A manual mode can also be selected in order to act on some functions independently of the sequence.
JOSKIN water bowsers are fitted as standard with many pieces of equipment: a protected level gauge, a Ø 450 mm upper filling opening, a 2"1/2 ball valve and a baffle (from 3,600 l models). This not only prevents the water from sloshing around during transport, but also reinforces the tank. All of this equipment provides a greater ease of use and handling.
JOSKIN uses two types of couplings: “Italy/Baroni” and “Perrot”. The former is relatively light, but its domed head can cope with imperfect alignments. As standard, we offer the Perrot, as it is more robust, but it requires the two sections to be connected to be aligned.
The arable injectors ensure that the slurry is injected deep into the soil, while at the same time they loosen the ground. They are designed on the basis of a double-beam frame reinforced by radiant crosspieces. The main advantage of this assembly is that it focuses the strains of the implement on the tanker, which then transfers them to the tractor. The stress is therefore reduced and the tank is not subjected to distortion. The frame is modular for all models: wide models are manufactured on the basis of the 2.8 m models with extensions. Versions over 3 m wide are equipped with a double-acting hydraulic folding system with an anti-torsion safety stop. All these implements are fitted with a certified road lighting system.
The meadow injectors inject the slurry into the ground while minimising the damages to its cover. They are assembled on the basis of the same galvanised frame. This standardisation allows an interchangeability of the injection elements. These single-beam frames are made of special high tensile steel offering the best compromise between strength and lightness. The ultra-compact design of the injector and the folding system result in a very low overhang, which significantly reduces the stress on the rear of the slurry tanker.
Most JOSKIN single axle vehicles have a bolted axle. The running gear can thus be easily moved when a change in load (eyelet weight/axle weight ratio) is required, especially when a rear implement is added to the original machine (e.g. slurry tanker with injector, tipping trailer with grain auger, etc.). The bolted axle also makes it easier to change tyres.
JOSKIN offers a canopy with quick coupling system on its range of muck spreaders. It can easily be attached to the back of the frame for spreading fine, crumbly products (such as poultry manure). It is fitted on the inside with a stainless steel plate so that the product to be spread does not stick and can easily fall back onto the discs or the retractable blades without obstructing the passage. For a frequent mixed use (with/without canopy), JOSKIN also offers a 2-part canopy with hydraulic opening (on Tornado3 only) with the same features and functions as the one-part version with quick coupling system.
If your tractor does not have enough spool valves to control all the hydraulic functions of your vehicle, it is necessary to add an electrohydraulic solution to your machine. In this case, electrically controlled hydraulic valves are fitted on the side of the chassis and gather all or part of the hydraulic functions of your machine. This control system is protected by a metal casing against water, mud, etc. from the working conditions. This concept consists of an aluminium entry block with a capacity of 60 l/min or 120 l/min, onto which the different solenoid valves, each representing a function, are fitted. As standard, the hydraulic installation is equipped to work in a closed circuit called "Load Sensing", but an ergonomic bypass also allows work in an open circuit, i.e. with tractors without Load Sensing.
The galvanised rear central partition is a deflector positioned in the middle of the end of the spreading table. It deflects the spread material outwards to reduce the overlap of the two spreading sheets. It is therefore of interest when spreading lime or similar materials. It is usually bolted and has a pivot system so that it can easily be folded under the table as required.
The operating principle is almost identical to that of the automatic lubrication, except that there is no pump and no grease tank: the grease nipples are simply centralised on one or more key positions of your vehicle, which avoids forgetting any grease nipples as you may do with a “point by point” lubrication.
At JOSKIN, we mainly distinguish two types of slurry tankers: those without a standard pre-equipment for spreading implements (Alpina2 and Modulo2) and the others. Tankers equipped as standard with this type of pre-equipment, such as VOLUMETRA, EUROLINER, etc., can easily be fitted with a linkage and a spreading implement at any time. This reinforced structure also allows the use of the heaviest and widest implements, depending on the configuration of the machine.

JOSKIN offers you a wide range of tyres from the most renowned manufacturers in the sector. You can therefore equip your vehicle with the best possible choice according to the most demanding criteria: safety, comfort, traction ease, load index, compaction and budget. Although less and less common, bias-ply tyres (e.g. 550/60-22.5) are still attractive because of their simplicity and low price. Low-pressure radial tyres (e.g. 560/60R22.5), thanks to their larger contact area, are more respectful of the soil structure: the pressure is better distributed and is more homogeneous, thus creating shallower ruts.
Whatever the tyre model you choose, there are always two rules to take into account: the larger the diameter of a tyre, the easier it is to pull or push your vehicle. On the other hand, a large-diameter, but relatively narrow-width tyre will have as much contact area with the ground as a small-diameter, but wider tyre.
In order to protect the volumetric pump as much as possible against foreign bodies or to avoid blockages due to heavy slurry, JOSKIN has developed the "Rotation-Cut" chopper. It is placed before the pump inlet to filter the slurry. This large-volume chopper is equipped with a drain valve: when you arrive at the field, you can open it from the driver's seat to remove any foreign bodies (stones, etc.) it could contain.
Cooling the pump is a major challenge for manufacturers. In addition to a traditional air flow, pumps are designed with fins for a conductive cooling. There is a slightly more efficient system, called "Ballast Port", which is also a low-cost solution: a continuous injection of fresh air into the pump body cools it down and allows it to work at 60% vacuum continuously. It is used on most of the models manufactured by “JUROP”.

All our BETIMAX models are pre-equipped as standard for the installation of a cover. The cover is available as an option and can either be factory fitted at the time of the order or delivered afterwards. It provides some protection for the livestock, either during transport or when the BETIMAX is simply parked in the meadow, creating a temporary shelter.
The double-axle running gear with "Cross-Over" bogie offers, thanks to its design, a complementary suspension system to the wheels as well as a larger contact surface with the ground. It consists of 2 axles connected by parabolic leaves and is bolted to the chassis by what is commonly known as "the table", a large support that balances and distributes the loads in an optimal way. With its maximum clearance of 240 mm, it can absorb the irregularities in the terrain. Thanks to the position of the cross-axis under the spring leaves and the position of the axles under the ends of these same leaves, a pull line pushes the front axle over the obstacle. The required traction power is therefore reduced. JOSKIN assembles its own bogies, which means that they can be made to measure for your vehicle. The distance between the axles and therefore the length of the leaves can be adapted to each machine, e.g. according to the choice of tyres. All JOSKIN “Cross-Over” bogies are bolted and therefore movable.
The 1,000 rpm version (direct connection) is usually more interesting, as it allows, in combination with the tractor P.T.O. rpm selector, to adjust the pump capacity to the required spreading flow. In addition, the pump running at a lower rpm saves engine power, which is beneficial for the tractor traction during spreading.
A discharge turbo, available in 6" (Ø 150 mm), 8" (Ø 200 mm) or 10" (Ø 250 mm) increases the speed of the slurry leaving the tank by acting as a hydraulically driven centrifugal pump. This option is particularly interesting when you want to spread thicker slurry over larger widths. It indeed propels the slurry and works against the slowing down effect caused by the frictional forces in the pipes of the spreading implements.
The JOSKIN monocoque tipping trailers are fitted with very resistant synthetic rubber seals all around the body (except Trans-KTP 17-22-27-34). Their door is kept closed by a side lock. This system ensures a perfect seal, even with the smallest seeds.
The doors on the JOSKIN tipping trailers are also equipped with two safety devices. The first one is a pressure relief valve. When the door cannot be fully closed (e.g. when there is an obstacle), it engages and regulates the oil pressure to prevent damage to the system. The second one is a double check valve on each door ram to hold the door in position if a hydraulic hose breaks or if the tractor stops.
The double exact scatterer is available as an option to double the spread rate per hectare at the same speed. A manual selector allows you to open and close the feeding valve to the second scatterer, as well as adjust the degree of opening of the valve (for a continuous flow rate from single to double dose).
The drinking trough (70 l) is the most economical solution to give water to several animals at the same time. This system includes of a float and a mechanical valve. As soon as the water level drops below a certain level, the feeding valve opens and transfers the water stored in the tank to the trough until the float gauge reaches its final filling position. When it is reached, the water flow is stopped and the valve is closed. This solution is ideal when your Aquatrans is used as a permanent drinking trough. It can be fitted on the side or at the back of the machine.
The drinking trough for one animal is the most economical solution. This system is equipped with a mechanism connected to a feeding valve. It therefore only gives water when the animal pushes the stop with its mouth; as soon as it withdraws, the valve closes and the water remains in the tank for later. It is therefore an ideal solution when your Aquatrans is parked in a meadow as a permanent drinking trough.
The combination of single-circuit hydraulic brakes and double-circuit air brakes on the same machine is of course possible. The vehicle can be hitched to tractors equipped with either of these two systems. This option is therefore ideal for farms or agricultural co-operatives with a fleet of different tractors. The brake system that is not in use simply remains disconnected from the tractor. Despite the interest in this system in many European countries, it is however prohibited by the EU 167/2013 standard (Mother Regulation), and can therefore not be certified in the 27 member states of the European Union.
The DUAL-STORM concept is based on the combination of two centrifugal pumps: one fitted at the end of the dorsal boom for filling and the other at the front of the tank for discharging. Its main feature is its high flow rate of around 10,000 l/min depending on the type of slurry. Its three-blade propeller requires little maintenance compared to other high-flow volumetric pumps of the "lobe" or "spiral" type, since it is less sensitive to the passage of foreign bodies. As with all volumetric systems, the centrifugal pump ensures a better filling of the tank, while avoiding the creation of foam (which is discharged into the pit through the overflow pipe). The DUAL-STORM concept is available with a mechanical or hydraulic (Power-Pack) drive, both of which are supplied as standard with a flow meter.
The DUAL-STORM provides a great flexibility of use and a power appropriate to the desired flow rate. As this device is not self-priming, it is necessary to use a small vacuum pump to vacuum the boom if you want to suck on a funnel. In this case, a hydraulically driven vacuum pump (Battioni & Pagani MEC 5000H) is placed on the side of the tanker. It is managed by an ISOBUS solution and solenoid valves.
The ECO-Pendislide spreading boom is a very simple implement that works over a width of 3m and is mainly used for spreading "clean" slurry without foreign bodies. It is not fitted with a macerator. Its spreading properties are therefore similar to those of the Pendislide spreading booms, in a much more basic version.

In some cases, it is worthwhile to replace the mechanical self-steering system with an electronically controlled system, which allows to manage different steering angles depending on the driving speed (less steering at high speed and more steering at low speed) and thus considerably increases the manoeuvrability and driving safety.
In order to make the registration of our vehicles in Europe easier, the JOSKIN Group has taken all the necessary steps to ensure that they comply with the EU167/2013 European standard, commonly known as the "Mother Regulation". Your JOSKIN machine is therefore certified and can easily be registered anywhere in the European Union, as well as in the countries that have adopted the same standards. This advantage gives it an added value when it is resold: it is not blocked in a single country of the European Union.
Nowadays, slurry is spread closer to the ground and the air resistance is significantly reduced thanks to the “exact'' scatterers that bring the fertiliser down to the ground. They are fitted as standard to JOSKIN slurry tankers and spread the slurry evenly over a width of up to 10 m, depending on the viscosity of the liquid, the wind, etc. The Perrot exact scatterers are hinged to facilitate pumping from the rear and limit the overall length of the vehicle.
In order to increase the transported volumes, JOSKIN offers different types of extensions. They are made of steel for Trans-KTP tipping trailers, aluminium for other agricultural tipping trailers, or wood for muck spreaders. From 150 mm to 1,000 mm high, welded, bolted, manually or hydraulically expandable, the choice is yours!

Tines with reversible blue 11 cm reinforced shares (Kongskilde Vibroflex) can replace the standard model. They are designed to bury and mix larger quantities of straw and plant residues. They are characterised by two folds that allow the earth to go up and the plant material to go down at the same time, a vertical zone (above the share) for a better mixing of plants and soil, an 11 cm width, an even greater robustness, their reversibility, a design for burying mulch and a very good mechanical weed control effect (roots and seeds)
A 1,800 x 2,500 mm fall breaker for potatoes can be placed in the Trans-CAP and Trans-SPACE agricultural tipping trailers. It is fixed at all four ends by four strong elastic bands. When loading potatoes, the elastic bands are gradually extended so that the harvest can be gently placed on the body floor.
The Ferti-Control 4000 is a high-tech display for the functions of the muck spreader. It allows the electronic control of the moving floor speed and direction of rotation. Thanks to its advanced level of technology, it is also possible to control all the functions of the machine: moving floor, flow meter, weighing system, guillotine door, limitation board, etc.
Are you looking for precision spreading? No problem! JOSKIN has developed an electronic flow meter (Ø 150 or 200 mm) that ensures an exact flow rate at all times, regardless of your driving speed. The flow meter continuously measures the slurry flow, while sensors on the tanker wheels measure the driving speed. By interpreting this data, a computer will automatically regulate the slurry flow according to the driving speed via an electric valve. This device requires an ISOBUS terminal.
For precision spreading, JOSKIN offers an electronic spreading management system (proportional flow system) available on ISOBUS and Ferti-Control 4000.
During the use, the operator indicates the loaded volume (full load, half load, etc.), the desired output per hectare (in m³ or t/ha), the effective working width as well as the product density. If the system is combined with a weighing device, the operator must first validate the load on board, which is indicated by the device. With this data and the selected loaded volume (full load, half load, etc.), the density will be calculated.
The operator then chooses the position of his door according to the material to be spread. Once this information has been entered into the terminal, the moving floor drive is automatically adjusted according to the required flow rate and the driving speed of the spreader.
The regulation operates in closed circuit and the moving floor speed is continuously monitored. This system ensures that the required moving floor speed is maintained, even if the body is almost empty or, on the contrary, if it is well filled and the spreader drives on a slope.
All spreading booms are equipped with a hydraulic folding system, which has a negligible overhang and does not affect the driving of the tractor-trailer combination. During transport, the whole is secured by a boom clipping system with a height adjustment device and a craddle with a shock absorbing rubber. The hydraulic folding system includes the following elements: hydraulic safety device, locking of the boom wings during transport by means of interlocking brackets and hydraulic rams positioned diagonally instead of vertically to better hold the boom in position (reduction of the swinging movement). For a higher safety, when the boom is folded, the macerators face inwards in order not to protrude beyond the boom structure.
In order to guarantee a transport width of less than 3 m (and even less than 2.41 m for most models), all JOSKIN wide aerators are fitted with a folding system. Up to a 4.2 m working width, the machine is folded manually. Beyond that, the system is hydraulic with a mechanical safety against accidental unfolding.
The forward position of the hydraulic tipping ram reduces the stress on the body and ensures a maximum vehicle stability. Fitted as standard on all models in the JOSKIN range of tipping trailers, a safety valve, placed directly on the hydraulic tipping ram, prevents the body from unexpectedly falling down (e.g. when a hydraulic hose breaks).

The free-steering axle follows the direction imposed by the tractor. The steering angle is +/- 15° depending on the tyre size. When driving on the road at more than 15 km/h or when reversing, a hydraulic device ensures a powerful lock and a perfect alignment of the rear axle with the front one, guaranteeing the safety of the tractor-trailer combination. A shock absorber ensures the stability of the free-steering axle and prevents excessive vibrations. A steering axle reduces the tyre wear significantly (less slippage) as well as the torsion on the whole vehicle in tight bends.
As an option, it is possible to equip your triple-axle trailer, usually configured with two self-steering axles, with a simplified version with a single free-steering axle. This is an economical solution when your vehicle has narrow wheels (e.g. truck wheels) and when you drive mainly out of the fields with a limited number of tight manoeuvres to perform.

The front-mounted rotary pasture toppers and choppers are also floating during the mowing operation. For this purpose, these models are hitched by means of a central beam pulling the machine from the front ("Accord triangle" system). The rear of the machine is simply held by a sliding guide. As a result, the machine can "float" freely on the ground, with a constant contact that the double hitch spring makes very soft and light.
As standard on most vehicles with a Hydro-Tridem or Hydro-Pendul Tridem running gear, the front lifting axle can be an interesting option when driving on the road with an empty vehicle: less friction, and therefore less energy consumption and tyre wear. On double or triple-axle muck spreaders, the use of the first lifting axle when spreading automatically transfers more weight to the rear axle of the tractor, giving it more support and therefore a better traction. This option is operated from the in-cab control box.

Agricultural machines are used all year round and, most of the time, in contact with aggressive substances (slurry, manure, chemical fertilisers, etc.) causing corrosion. Usually, the hot-dip galvanisation at 450°C is the first choice for a durable steel protection against rust. Compared to painting, galvanisation requires little or no maintenance. It provides an excellent protection against bad weather and is not damaged by the mechanical deformation of the steel. During the protection process, the sheet is covered with three layers of a mixture of steel and zinc and an outer layer of pure zinc. Unlike paint, which is only found on the surface, these layers are perfectly anchored in the steel. The outer layer is less hard but is very shock absorbing. If its exposure to corrosion remains moderate, galvanisation provides an effective protection for at least 60 years! All parts, regardless of their size, can be galvanised in our own factory and then be used for the assembly of all machines from the JOSKIN range.

The hot-dip galvanisation of the chassis (standard on some vehicles and implements) provides a maximum protection against corrosion. During the galvanising process, the liquid zinc penetrates the surface of the steel and protects it "from the inside" against external aggression and its usual consequences, such as rust formation. The galvanised component is one of the best protected parts on agricultural machinery.
JOSKIN trailers can be equipped with a galvanised steel platform. With its large surface area, it offers the user a safe place to work when handling a cover. This platform is usually (but not necessarily) accompanied by a cover and can be fitted on the front of the tipping trailer or on the rear door (or both).
The gauge wheels on the JOSKIN aerators are primarily used as a height adjustment system for some implements (a key element of an aerator). They can be made of steel (advantage: no punctures) or reinforced rubber (advantage: flexibility). When working on very hilly lands, it is advisable to increase the number of gauge wheels to better follow the ground relief.
JOSKIN manufactures all its counter blades in HARDOX steel. It has 6 times the tensile strength of conventional steel and 3 times the ultimate stress. It is also significantly lighter for the same strength. Its use in this case is mainly justified by its low abrasion qualities. JOSKIN offers different types of counter blades for different flow rates (m³/ha) at the same spreading speed. They differ only in the size of the holes: the larger the hole, the greater the spread rate at the same speed.
If it is not part of the standard equipment of the vehicle, the spreading table can be equipped with a highly abrasion-resistant Hardox steel protection plate. This is the ideal equipment for intensive use of your muck spreader. In this case, the beater frame is painted green (instead of hot-dip galvanised) so as not to affect the strength of the materials.
The JOSKIN range gives you the choice! Are you looking for a low and long trailer (very low centre of gravity)? Choose one with side walls of 65 cm, 100 cm or 125 cm (monocoque tipping trailer), or 1x40 cm, 1x50 cm or 2x50 cm (dropside tipping trailer). Are you looking rather for a compact, high-capacity tipping trailer? Then choose side walls of 125 cm or 150 cm (monocoque tipping trailer), or of 2x60 cm, 3x60 cm, 60 cm + 80 cm or 2x80 cm (dropside tipping trailer).
Available in 3.5 m or 4.5 m depending on the model, these fences are an efficient and cost-effective solution for any farmer wanting to load livestock on grassland. Supplied in pairs, they can be stored on the body sides without affecting the overall width of the livestock trailer. In the loading position, they can be adjusted to the desired opening degree and are therefore perfectly suited to the circumstances of the terrain. A clever spring suspension also makes them very easy to handle.
The economical GARDEN BF meadow aerators are a variant of the BF series, which is especially designed for small horticultural tractors. Their width is reduced for work in parks and gardens. The category-1 hitch for horticultural tractors (hence the name "GARDEN") is quick and easy thanks to the Ø 22 mm round bar.
HP grain augers are high-performance transfer augers. Depending on the model, they transfer up to 300 tonnes of grains per hour, i.e. 5 tonnes per minute! They are ideal for turning your Trans-CAP or Trans-SPACE tipping trailer into a chaser bin. The auger is installed on a second specific rear door that includes not only the transfer auger (Ø 270 to Ø 400 mm, in steel or stainless steel depending on the model), but also its lateral orientation mechanism. It is driven by a hydraulic motor with medium flow rate (75-100 l/min). It can therefore be used by any type of tractor (new or old).
HPA grain augers are high-performance transfer augers. Depending on the model, they transfer up to 550 tonnes of grain per hour, i.e. 9.16 tonnes per minute! They are ideal for turning your Drakkar into a chaser bin. The auger is installed on a second specific rear door that includes not only the transfer auger (Ø 500 or Ø 600 mm depending on the model) and its orientation mechanism, but also a horizontal breaking auger. In this way, it is also possible to transfer other products of non-cereal origin, such as wood chips, for example.
JOSKIN offers single-circuit hydraulic brakes as an option for its vehicles. With this system, the braking power depends on the amount of pressure applied to the brake control pedal. Although hydraulic braking is still the most common system in the world, it is being phased out in the European Union in favour of double-circuit air brakes, which are approved under Mother Regulation EU 167/2013.
In most European countries and beyond, a rear bumper is mandatory for the registration of a vehicle or a coupled implement. Its primary purpose is to protect the road user who would hit you from behind. At JOSKIN, most vehicles and implements are equipped with a hydraulic rear bumper with European hydraulic certification as standard. Its advantage is that it can be folded when not in use, for example during unloading operations.

The springs of the injection elements on the SOLODISC act as mechanical shock absorbers and apply the discs with a certain pressure to the soil, thus limiting variations in injection depth and allowing a vertical movement of the elements to adapt to transverse irregularities in the ground up to 25 cm. As an option, the springs can be replaced by a hydraulic cross-compensation system keeping the same ground pressure for each element (communicating vessels principle).
One of the most convenient cover solutions for the user is the hydraulic concertina folding system ("cabriolé" system). It consists of a support at the front of the body to limit the place taken by the cover in folded position, a hydraulic motor and a pulley and cable system. When in use, the cover can be unfolded and folded by moving horizontally on a guide rail, thus providing a perfect seal against bad weather.

The JOSKIN meadow injectors are fitted as standard with mechanical anti-drip pincers releasing the injection hose automatically when the injection element touches the ground (and inversely when the element leaves it). Each pincer has a rounded jaw and a pinch stop to limit the wear to the rubber injection cone as much as possible. They can be replaced by hydraulic pincers, which can be opened or closed at any time without having to lift or lower the injector.
As standard, a hydraulic pressure switch regulates the moving floor speed. A graduated scale ensures a fine dosing for a quality spreading. The pressure switch is connected directly to the hydraulic supply line of the moving floor motor. It is usually fitted at the height of the spreader drawbar, close to the user, but outside the tractor cab.
The TELECOVER is a very comfortable cover solution. This system consists of a 25 cm extension (on the right > cover roll-up), a profile above this extension, a hydraulic motor, an industrial quality cover (690 g/m²) and an asymmetrical support (front and rear). The advantage of this concept is undoubtedly to empty the trailer without having to roll up the cover.

In order to secure your container loading and unloading operations, especially in combination with a light tractor, your Cargo-LIFT can be equipped with a hydraulic top link instead of the mechanical chain system. This top link stabilises the assembly and prevents a negative load on the tractor hitch (lifting of the rear axle of the tractor).
JOSKIN offers 3 main types of hydraulic valves: flat (standard), bell and slide valves. The advantage of the bell type is that its body has a larger diameter, so it is less likely to become clogged with fibres going up in the valve head. The slide valve is the only one that is really sharp: it gets rid of foreign bodies by cutting them. It therefore never gets clogged and is the only one of the three models that is really watertight. However, all three are slurry-tight.
On the Hydro-Pendul hydraulic suspension, each axle is mounted on two double-acting hydraulic rams (one on each side of the chassis). The axle is connected to the chassis by a triangular structure of large-diameter tubes, the end of which is attached to a large knee-joint with a vertical axis that ensures a great stability of the running gear. On the Hydro-Pendul of a tipping trailer, you can secure your tipping operation with the option "tipping stabiliser". The concept is simply to lock the hydraulic rams of the suspension so that they remain perfectly stable.
The JOSKIN Hydro-Tandem and Hydro-Tridem running gears combine simplicity, reliability, high clearance and stability. The vehicle can indeed be easily pulled over any obstacle thanks to its semi-independent axle concept. The vehicle is pulled by leaves attached to an element under the chassis, which is itself located in front of each axle, thus offering a large clearance of up to 250 mm. The working principle of this suspension is based on the law of the communicating vessels. Only the hydraulic rams on the same side are connected to each other in a closed circuit. The independence of the circuits on both sides of the vehicle, combined with the fact that the oil is incompressible, ensures a perfect lateral stability. As a result, the vehicle is less likely to tilt in bends and on hills. Moreover, thanks to this design, the pressure transmitted to the ground is perfectly distributed between all the wheels, which also spares the soil structure.
The vehicles equipped with a Hydro-Tandem or Hydro-Tridem running gear can be delivered with an automatic height-adjustment: this system allows the suspension to be easily calibrated in "road" configuration after passing under a bridge, a tunnel, after maintenance work, etc., for which it is normally necessary to lower the suspension of the running gear to the stop.
This drawbar suspension, consisting of two double-acting hydraulic rams with a nitrogen ball, provides exceptional flexibility and is the most effective drawbar suspension. In addition, when connected to the tractor distributor, it actively influences the angle of the machine and thus transfers more or less load to the tractor hitch. It can be managed and controlled directly from the tractor, via the control box or via our ISOBUS solutions. An automatic height-adjusting device (option) allows the ideal suspension setting to be restored at any time.
If your tractor does not have enough exportable oil for the operation of the various options or if you do not want to mix the oils of different tractors working with the same vehicle (e.g. in an agricultural co-operative), JOSKIN offers you an independent hydraulic installation driven by the tractor P.T.O-shaft. This equipment is standard on some ranges.
The inner rail door is the ideal option to compartmentalise your BETIMAX in many ways, while keeping animals from seeing each other. It completely obstructs the field of vision of the cattle and allows the safe loading of two powerful animals. Its sliding rail system ensures that the right compartment size is always found, guaranteeing a cost-effective, but above all, safe loading of the livestock.
What is Isobus? Definition according to the AEF - Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation: “Electronics improve the safety, efficiency, precision and performance of agricultural equipment. In the past, each manufacturer used its own patented solutions that had to be adapted specifically to each tractor and equipment combination. The universal 'plug and play' solution offered by ISOBUS will simplify things for the future: one terminal for a wide range of equipment, regardless of the manufacturer.” At JOSKIN, the control box interface, just like the automaton interface, can be replaced by the ISOBUS terminal already installed in the cabin of the tractor, if it is equipped with one, or by a JOSKIN terminal. Thanks to this system, one single control box in the cabin replaces several ones: a direct way to high-tech agriculture! This system centralises, for instance, the electrohydraulic controls, the pressure sensors, the management of the injection implements, the flow rate proportional to the driving speed, or the dynamic weighing system. The terminal is also compatible with a GPS system for a precise guidance when spreading on different plots. Most tractor manufacturers are using this technology.
With the ISOBUS technology to control your vehicle, you can use either the standard tractor display or one of the optional ISO Control displays supplied by JOSKIN. Available in 3 versions and sizes (5.7", 10.4" or 12.1" screen size), they are touch-sensitive and allow the management of all electrohydraulic functions of your machine, depending on the chosen configuration. The ISO Control Touch 800 display offers, for instance, a USB stick plug-in for data export, an analogue camera connection port, etc. The ISO Control Touch 1200 screen provides a "Multi-Window" display.
At JOSKIN, you can equip the coupling rod of the self-steering system with either an industrial hitch yoke (standard) or a knee-joint eyelet with a diameter of 50 mm (option), commonly called "K50". The "K50" option is usually chosen when the vehicle is already equipped with a "K80" knee-joint eyelet.
The use of a spreading implement, such as an injector, makes it impossible to see the slurry coming out of the tank. This is why JOSKIN was the first manufacturer to offer a level gauge on all its slurry tankers from the 1980s. Today, there are several possibilities: a 2" half-circular sight glass, an 8 x 30 cm oblong sight glass with a choice of location, a float gauge or a Ø 150 mm transparent communicating gauge.
As an option, it is possible to equip your vehicle with a load transfer system. In this case, a hydraulic ram is connected to the 3rd point of the tractor, as well as to a 3-point device on the machine. This hydraulic ram, together with a hydropneumatic drawbar suspension, is operated from the tractor cab. When activated, the ram rod pushes the tractor third point forward, increasing the load on the front axle. This gives the tractor more grip. The effect is somewhat comparable to that created by a front counterweight. This grip system is especially useful in difficult terrain conditions.
Models over 3 m wide are equipped with a double-acting hydraulic folding system in order to meet the required transport width. It should also be noted that this system is, in this case, equipped with the Lock-Matic© automatic locking device to make your road travel as safe as possible. This device is controlled by the same hydraulic function as the folding system, through steered valves.
The Solodisc XXL is fitted with 20 mm thick self-sharpening discs with a diameter of 400 mm that are assembled on hubs with large watertight conical bearings (which can be tightened up). Made up of metal, rubber and NBR nitrile, these discs are extremely sturdy and ensure a long lifespan to the Solodisc XXL. Specially designed for JOSKIN, they are lighter than solid models for an equivalent sturdiness. Thanks to their diameter, the required traction power is also less high.
As the tank of a slurry tanker needs to be cleaned regularly, JOSKIN offers various access solutions, including via the top of the machine, which is particularly useful when the rear of the tanker is not accessible because there is a spreading implement. Examples are the Ø 600 mm side or rear manhole with hook closure, the Ø 850 mm rear manhole on hinge, the full opening rear door, the upper manhole with hook closure or on hinge (Ø 520 mm or Ø 600 mm), etc.
This cover rolls up around a long tube running from the front to the back of the body and rests on a structure of bolted arches. Elastic bands attached to the ends of the cover secure it on the body sides. This system provides a good sealing thanks to the support on the rear door, preventing as much water as possible from entering the body.
The manual roll-up cover for potatoes is an economical solution that is ideally suited for the transport of these goods. When the cover is rolled out, it rests freely on the heap of potatoes. The right side of the tipping trailer (or left side as an option) is then fitted with an extra extension (25 cm) in order to have a continuous slope and thus ensuring an easy rolling up/out. This assembly is available on machines with a set of 25-cm extensions. For even more versatility (other types of crop), arches are available as an option.
This cover rolls up around a long tube running from the front to the back of the body and rests on a structure of three bolted arches and two supports, one at the front and one at the back. Three ratchet straps attached to the side of the tipping trailer slide over the two supports and on the central arch, which allow to roll up and out the cover uniformly. This system provides a good sealing thanks to the support on the rear door, preventing as much water as possible from entering the body.
JOSKIN uses four types of manual valves with quick coupling (with York valve) that differ in their diameter (6" or 8"), their type of jaw ("Perrot" or "Italy/Baroni") or their type of coupling for the suction pipe ("rocking" or "sliding"). The angled opening of the rocking jaw allows to easily place the hose in the coupling. The stronger mechanical design of the sliding jaw pushes the pipe flat against the neck, ensuring a better alignment of the coupling. All our manual valves are equipped with an air intake (York valve) as standard, which prevents the risk of slurry splashing when the suction hose is removed.
A gravity filling allows the highest flows. The user can then choose the most appropriate pump type for the discharge. JOSKIN offers various systems that can be placed on top or at the back of the tank: 6” flat flanges (150 mm squares), 8” flat flanges (200 mm squares) or 10” flat flanges (250 mm squares) with a choice of locations, upper manholes with a 600 mm diameter (or 520 mm in some cases) with hook or hinge closure, 500 x 600 mm bolted flanges, etc.
In most European countries and beyond, a rear bumper is mandatory for the registration of a vehicle or a coupled implement. Its primary purpose is to protect the road user who would hit you from behind. At JOSKIN, most vehicles and implements are equipped as standard with a rear bumper with European certification. Depending on the model, it can be welded or bolted, and in some cases are manually retractable.

The “special mountain” emptying system allows your tank to be emptied completely when working on a slope. To that end, an additional pipe is added to suck up the slurry from the opposite side of the discharge. It is therefore possible to empty your tank completely even when you are going downhill (with vacuum pumps) or uphill (with volumetric pumps - not available with STORM model).
Although not compulsory in all countries, mudguards are often an interesting feature to keep the vehicle clean at the running gear level and to protect other road users (as well as yourself) from projections from the wheels. JOSKIN mudguards have a modern design and usually cover the entire tyre tread. They are made of galvanised steel or light, ergonomic plastic.

The multifunctional control box is the most ergonomic and efficient solution to easily operate the increasing number of hydraulic functions on modern agricultural machinery. With this installation, it is possible to feed from 2 to 14 hydraulic functions, by means of one single hydraulic distributor on the tractor via solenoid valves, which are controlled from a single control box in the tractor cab. This box is specific and custom-made: it has no "empty buttons" and only includes the configuration of your machine. Made of aluminium, it is robust. A special seal protects it against water and dust. In addition, it is fitted with a quick coupling for an easy disconnection and storage after use.
The JOSKIN MULTITWIST multi-nozzle booms spread the slurry evenly over widths of 12 and 15 m. This spreading implement consists of two main pipes supported by two triangular frames. These main pipes feed half of the smaller vertical pipes on the boom, each of which is terminated by a splash plate. The slurry is then spread close to the ground, under the form of '“umbrella'' jets. It should be noted that an installation on the 4-point linkage as well as directly on the buttresses of the tank is possible with the Twist system.
In cooperation with John Deere, JOSKIN offers a real-time slurry analysis technology using an infrared lens. The composition of the slurry (nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), ammoniacal nitrogen (NH 4) and dry matter) is measured in real time during spreading. The system allows the integration of a spreading instruction expressed in nitrogen unit/ha (for instance), and no longer in m³/ha like a classic flow meter system. Other NIR solutions, such as those offered by "dinamica generale" and implemented by some tractor manufacturers, such as CNH, are also available upon request. JOSKIN now integrates this analysis system into its slurry tankers with flow meters via ISOBUS.
At any time, your BETIMAX can be equipped with a hinged inner fence, supplied as standard with 3 sets of fixings: one at the front, one in the middle and one at the back of the side rails. Their position can be adapted according to the size of the compartment you want to create. To that end, you just have to move the locking mechanism. For the transport of small livestock, this inner fence can be fitted as an option with a downward extension to prevent animals from passing under the partition. This equipment is useful, among other things, when you load and unload your livestock at different locations. The compartmentalisation allows some of the cattle to be kept inside the trailer, even when the rear doors are open.
PA-T grain augers are ideal transfer augers for dropside tipping trailers. The PA-T 458 transfers up to 25 t of grain per hour. It is ideal for turning your Delta-CAP, Tetra-CAP or Tetra-SPACE tipping trailer into a chaser bin. The auger is fitted directly on the grain chute and has a 4.15 m long (Ø 140 mm) transfer chute when unfolded laterally. It is driven by a hydraulic motor with low flow rate (20-40 l/min). It can therefore be used by any type of tractor (new or old).
The JOSKIN factories have some of the most modern paint lines in Europe. During the process, the material is first cleaned and degreased by shot blasting (projection of up to 2,500 kg of steel balls per minute). It is then primed with an Epoxy Ester primer and finished with a two-component paint. The process is completed by drying in an oven at 60°C. In this way, all JOSKIN parts and machines benefit from the best possible protection for a long service life. As standard, JOSKIN applies its traditional yellow and green colours. As an option, however, they can be replaced by those of your choice. The surface protection with industrial paints, such as those used by JOSKIN, is the best way to protect special steel that is not suitable for a heat treatment such as galvanisation.

JOSKIN offers to paint your tank in addition to the hot-dip galvanisation. Once galvanised, the tanker is sanded so that an Ester Epoxy primer can be sprayed onto the surface. Then, after a quick drying, the final coat of paint is applied. The advantage of a tank painted on the outside is purely aesthetic and does not extend the service life in any way compared to the standard galvanisation.
The JOSKIN Power Pack completes the DUAL-STORM assembly: in this case, the motors of both pumps are driven hydraulically via a hydraulic installation (160 l/min at 280 bar). A double-acting industrial valve isolates the tank from the centrifugal pump body. As standard, the DPA proportional flow system controls the STORM pump rpm.
JOSKIN also offers a range of pre-equipment in its programme, so that you can postpone the choice of rear spreading implements and various accessories, such as the filling arm or the dorsal boom, the hydraulic upper door, the tank mixer, etc. The series production and the spare parts book will always allow you to complete your machine in the future.

At JOSKIN, we mainly distinguish two types of slurry tankers: those without a standard pre-equipment for spreading implements (Alpina2 and Modulo2) and the others. The Modulo2 tankers can be equipped with optional rear buttresses to reinforce the back of the tank when using injectors or spreading booms and to serve as a support for a possible linkage. These buttresses not only include the metal frame, but also provide space for an immersion pipe to feed the rear implement, etc. By equipping your Modulo2 with this option, you make it ready for spreading slurry with a future spreading implement.

All JOSKIN tankers with a vacuum pump are fitted with a tank overpressure security set at + 1 bar. When the pressure inside the tank exceeds this value, the springs compress, the top lid of the valve lifts and the pressure drops rapidly. Once the pressure is reduced to below + 1 bar, the lid returns to its initial position thanks to the return springs.

Once the pressure is reduced to below + 1 bar, the lid returns to its initial position thanks to the return springs.
The vacuum system creates an atmospheric pressure difference between the inside of the tank and the surrounding air in order to fill or empty the tank. By creating a vacuum, the slurry can be sucked up. In the spreading phase, the principle is reversed: the tank is pressurised to expel the slurry. This means that there is no slurry flowing through the pump, only air.
The GARDA/JULIA system with a 100% mechanical drive combines a centrifugal pump and a vacuum pump (GARDA = Battioni & Pagani; JULIA = JUROP). The latter is used to fill the tank and empty it using a traditional spreading device, while the centrifugal one sends the slurry at a pressure of 6 bar to a spreading gun, the umbilical system of a spreading implement or a return to the tank (optional), all depending on the chosen configuration. A mechanical selector (hydraulic as an option) allows you to choose the desired pump.
The lobe system uses the mechanical action of two lobe rotors. Their rotation creates a vacuum on the suction side, which attracts the slurry into the pump body. The slurry is then carried through the lobes, along the rotor wall and discharged on the other side. These pumps do not take much place although they have a relatively high capacity. Their suction principle ensures them a maximum stability and eliminates almost all vibrations. Furthermore, they are all equipped as standard with an automatic stop system (optional on TETRALINER) and wear rings. These pumps have many advantages: high filling and emptying speed, possibility of pumping thicker slurry than with vacuum pumps, compatibility with long suction hoses or spreading implements, pumping performance maintained at a depth of more than 3.5 m, standard equipment for mixing and transfer from pit to pit, output pressure higher than 1 bar guaranteeing a good distribution with a high working width, etc.
The STORM system propels the slurry out of the pump by the centrifugal force created by the rotation of a screw around an eccentric pump body. The highest flow rates are achieved with this pumping mode. STORM pumps only work on the discharge side. The tank is therefore filled by gravity via an upper hydraulic door. At 750 rpm, a flow rate of 6,000 l is achieved, while at 1,000 rpm, it rises to 11,000 l. The pump is equipped with a stone trap and is driven by a universal joint shaft on the tractor power take-off. As an option, a 3-way valve can be fitted at the front of the tank to mix the contents in a closed circuit.
The spiral pump uses the mechanical action of an eccentric screw to suck in and discharge the slurry. The rotation of the screw inside the stator then creates a series of hermetic chambers that move along the suction/discharge axis. The advantage of spiral pumps is that they only suck up until the liquid reaches their height (not like vacuum models to the highest point in the tank). They then send it to the tank or spreading implement. Sucking up and discharging thick slurry through long suction pipes become then possible. Storage lagoons over 3.5 m deep are emptied within a reasonable time. A 3-way valve allows, besides the filling and emptying functions, the mixing in closed circuit and the transfer from one pit to another one. All spiral pumps on JOSKIN vehicles are ergonomically and compactly positioned at the lowest point of the machine for an easy access and maintenance. The screw inside the pump is continuously immersed in the liquid to be transferred to reduce the risk of cavitation.
The VACU-STORM system combines the advantages of a vacuum pump on the suction side and a STORM centrifugal pump on the discharge side. It is an ideal solution for users who are looking for an absolute flexibility. This process guarantees a high performance. The pumps are P.T.O. driven via a reinforced one-piece gearbox. The Jurop PN 130 - 13,000 l/min is integrated in the drawbar and is used for suction. The PN 155 and PNR 155 (+/- 15,200 l/min) are available as options. The vacuum system has the great advantage of being well adapted to all pumping situations (underground or off-ground pits, funnel, etc.). The STORM centrifugal pump (10,000 l/min) is designed to feed the rear implement. It allows spreading over large widths and with a high and constant flow rate. Ideally placed under the tank with the stone trap, it ensures a smooth and even feeding of the slurry, while reducing maintenance to a minimum. This design provides a safe and convenient access.
A good macerator is essential to make sure the injector works properly: some kinds of slurry (especially cattle slurry) are indeed full of fibres and foreign bodies. And a blocked opening means that the spreading pattern will be uneven and that the user will have to stop working. The solution is the patented JOSKIN SCALPER© system: a highly efficient macerator consisting of self-sharpening, freely rotating circular blades fitted on a blade holder driven by a hydraulic motor. The circular blades (pivoting on their own axis) and the off-centre arched elliptical holes of the blade holder inevitably cut all foreign bodies in the slurry. If the blades hit something too hard, the rotation direction of the SCALPER© is reversed by the “Switch-Matic” system (option) until the obstacle is chopped. In addition, an electric reverser with a control button is installed in the cab for all rear implements with automaton. The hydraulic circuit supplying the engine is isolated by a plug. A drain can be used to detect any defects in the hydraulic seal. The JOSKIN SCALPER© macerators are also sold separately to fit existing injectors. As standard, the macerator is fed via a 6" pipe and a 6" control valve.
A vacuum pump is equipped with either a mechanical or hydraulic change-over, which allows you to choose between "spreading" and "suction". The hydraulic control is essential when using a filling device such as a JUMBO arm, a dorsal boom, etc. The change-over is operated from the tractor cab to anticipate pumping or spreading.
It is also possible to equip your "Aquatrans (XL)" water bowser with a volumetric (non-self-priming) centrifugal filling pump with a transfer capacity of 1,000 l/min, which is driven by the tractor P.T.O. at 540 rpm. The assembly includes the pump, 6 m of Ø 60 mm hose and a Walterscheid cardan shaft.
In order to protect the upper body edge strip from shocks caused by the load or when loading the trailer, it is possible to opt for a PVC protection. It can cover 2 or 3 sides of the body and can easily be replaced in case of wear (bolted structure). When loading sticky materials, such as manure or compost, this protection can also be used as a scraper for the loading implement.

The quick coupling system to the tractor by means of a round bar is easy and practical: when hitching the machine, you first attach the bar to the linkage arms and then, after reversing under the hitching points of the aerator, you raise the arms until the mechanism locks. Then all you have to do is attach the third point and connect the hydraulics and electrics, if necessary.
The special feature of the rail system is that it offers even more flexibility and allows a full opening, even in narrow spaces such as inside stables.
The Vogelsang lobe pumps offered by JOSKIN are all equipped with HiFlo® lobes that guarantee a perfectly linear flow. This means that they are not subject to vibration, thereby extending the lifespan of the moving parts. This unique design limits cavitation, allows higher rotation speeds, and therefore higher flow rates, for the same pump size. Lobe wear and turbulence at the inlet are greatly reduced. On TETRALINER tankers, JOSKIN fits the lobe pumps at the back of the tank so that they are easily accessible for maintenance and as close as possible to the transfer point (storage tank or pit). This assembly includes a hydraulic motor with direct connection to the tractor, as well as a hydraulic pump control valve at the rear of the tank for a greater ease of use.
As an option, it is possible to temporarily reduce the spreading width of the booms by using ball valves. These are placed at the outlet of the SCALPER macerator and are manually operated. For example, you can avoid spreading in the tracks of the sprayer when fertilising your crop fields. Another very practical solution is the pneumatic section control. In this case, a balloon system installed on the spreading line after the SCALPER macerator is inflated (by a compressor) to temporarily block the hose.
The JOSKIN dropside tipping trailers are all characterised by the easy removal of the side panels. Without any tools and in a very short time, it is possible to remove one or all of the side panels to transform the tipping trailer into a tipping platform: the ultimate versatility for all your transports!
As an option, the painted livestock trailers can be equipped with a 3-component resin coating (resin + rubber + hardener) identical to that found on galvanised livestock trailers. This layer, applied on a chequered plate, increases the comfort of the animals being transported and reduces the noise level, while maintaining an anti-slip surface.
Choosing the capacity (air flow) of your vacuum pump is an important step in the configuration of your slurry tanker. In the suction phase, it is interesting that the vacuum takes place within one minute. A pump with a flow rate per minute equal to the total capacity of the tank is therefore logically the first choice. For example, a pump that can suck up 10,000 l of air/minute will not only create a vacuum in your 10,000 l tank in just 1 minute, but will also maintain this vacuum during the entire filling process. If the flow rate was 5,000 l/min, this operation would have taken at least twice the time. In the spreading phase, i.e. the emptying phase, the pump just has to provide enough air inside the tank to empty it evenly. Choosing a too large pump means wasting tractor traction power, with a risk of premature wear. The vacuum level remains the same regardless of the pump chosen.
The rocker beam is available as an option on the larger double-axle Trans-KTP models. It consists of two large boxes made of 300 x 300 x 12.5 mm tubular sections, each supporting two half-axles. They are built around a central axis mounted on bushes with grease nipples and a one-piece table bolted to the chassis. The rocker beam is the most economical and robust type of running gear for double-axle trailers. It adapts perfectly to difficult terrain conditions, while providing a maximum tipping stability (no suspension settling effect).
The double-axle running gear with "Roll-Over" bogie offers, thanks to its design, a complementary suspension system to the wheels as well as a larger contact surface with the ground. It consists of 2 axles connected by parabolic leaves and is bolted to the chassis by what is commonly known as "the table", a large support that balances and distributes the loads in an optimal way. With its maximum clearance of 240 mm, it can absorb the irregularities in the terrain. Thanks to the position of the cross-axis under the spring leaves and the position of the axles above the ends of these same leaves, a pull line pushes the front axle over the obstacle. The advantages of this design are manifold: in addition to a lower centre of gravity and thus a better stability, the required traction power is significantly reduced. JOSKIN assembles its own bogies, which means that they can be made to measure for your vehicle. The distance between the axles and therefore the length of the leaves can be adapted to each machine, e.g. according to the choice of tyres. All JOSKIN “Roll-Over” bogies are bolted and therefore movable.
The Rübig flat-link chains are especially suitable for transporting low-compression loads which, in the case of a conventional shipping chain, can get caught between the chain and the body floor or between the chain and the sprocket, with the risk of slipping. These chains are therefore ideal for transporting and spreading wood chips, silage, etc.
If you are looking for a maximum safety when unloading animals, we recommend the safety fence in front of the rear door. Cattle are sometimes very eager to get out and may push the door while you are opening it. This intermediate fence protects you from this risk. It also has a side release mechanism positioned on the outside of the body to open it safely.
In order to meet safety standards and the current legislation, JOSKIN vehicles and implements are fitted with the latest rear lights and a number plate lighting as standard. As an option, all our vehicles can be equipped with side marker lights (LED), end outline marker lamps (LED) or a combination of both, a flashing beacon (LED) or a LED flash bar to increase the road user’s attention and to meet the requirements of some legislations.

It is possible to equip your spreading implement with an exact/gooseneck/swinging scatterer in order to fertilise areas where the use of your spreading implement is impossible (e.g. due to the soil moisture or working width). In this case, a system of manual or hydraulic valves directs the flow of slurry to the scatterer.
Working at the harrow head, the scraper blades spread clods of earth and level out molehills and other ground unevennesses so that the following rows of tools can carry out their work efficiently. Usually fitted on half-flexible leaves, they also allow to face more serious damages, such as that caused by wild boars.
Thanks to its adjustable angle, the screw scatterer can reach a large part of your land to be worked on. The propeller system fragments your liquid, water or slurry, to precisely spread your land laterally. It is particularly useful for spreading your plantations and sloping ground or for reducing the amount of dust in the air.
The ISOBUS application can support the “Section Control” to automatically control the opening and closing of the various sections of a slurry injector or spreading boom hitched to the slurry tanker. An external GPS antenna receives the position according to the Section Control standard and the ISOBUS application compares it with previously recorded positions in order to close the sections on areas that have already been fertilised.
The self-steering axle is an important safety feature as it keeps your vehicle in line with the tractor at all times. The hydraulic ram on the steering axle is operated by a sensor cylinder connected to the tractor by means of a hitching rod with quick coupling (or a hydraulic ram depending on the model). This rod is anchored to the drawbar by means of an eye or ball joint and controls the steering hydraulic circuit. The system is balanced by compensated hydraulic rams that exert the same force in both directions. The circuit is equipped with a one-piece control unit including a pressure gauge, a nitrogen ball, an alignment valve and a calibration circuit. The advantage of the self-steering axle is not only its self-correcting feature, which allows the vehicle to leave the rut automatically, but above all its guidance both when driving forward and reversing. Unlike the free-steering axle, this system is autonomous and does not require any driver intervention when driving at high speed or reversing: the self-steering axle steers and controls at all times. In addition, it does not require a hydraulic connection to the tractor, nor a distributor. A steering axle reduces the tyre wear significantly (less slippage) as well as the torsion on the vehicle in tight bends. At JOSKIN, most triple-axle vehicles are equipped as standard with a double self-steering system (first and last axle) working on the same principle.
As an option, it is possible to equip your triple-axle trailer, usually configured with two self-steering axles, with a simplified version with one single self-steering axle. This is an economical solution when your vehicle has narrow wheels (e.g. truck wheels) and when you drive mainly out of the fields with a limited number of tight manoeuvres to perform.
It is always possible to equip your Silo-SPACE2 with two galvanised shredding beaters. They are located at the back of the body and are mechanically driven by a drive shaft via the tractor P.T.O. This means that they rotate at the same speed. This option is particularly useful when you want to shred the material and make it uniform, or place the silage directly on the silo.
When factory-fitted, this option always includes a side door to allow a safe access to the inner side of the body for any maintenance operation. It is therefore not necessary to go through the beaters. In order to avoid any false manipulation and damage to the shredding beaters or the door, a moving floor starting safety device is also integrated in the assembly: before the moving floor is activated, the rear door must have an opening of at least 1m and the beaters must rotate at a minimum speed (speed sensor).

This means that they are not subject to vibration, thereby extending the lifespan of the moving parts. This unique design limits cavitation, allows higher rotation speeds, and therefore higher flow rates, for the same pump size. Lobe wear and turbulence at the inlet are greatly reduced. JOSKIN fits the lobe pumps on the side of the tankers so that they are easily accessible for maintenance. This assembly includes a PTO drive and an angle transmission gearbox. As an option, the drive can also be powered by a hydraulic motor, for an easier and more precise adjustment of the flow rate.
Monocoque tipping trailers are equipped with four Perspex sight windows on the front as standard (except for tipping trailers with a body height of 100 cm or less).
As an option, it is also possible to choose one single large sight window. Both models can also be fitted with galvanised reinforcing rods to protect them from possible damage caused by the load.
The "silent-block" suspension is the most economical and simple solution on the market. Made of a block of several layers of rubber, it offers a relatively basic suspension feeling. Its main advantage is its ability to absorb the vehicle vibrations. The design allows you to vary the tilt angle of the front of your machine, and therefore to change the weight on the tractor.
This drawbar suspension consists of two double-acting hydraulic rams in a closed circuit with two nitrogen accumulators. In addition to being economical, it provides a remarkable flexibility when driving with a loaded vehicle and is one of the most comfortable and efficient solutions. Thanks to the closed-circuit principle, it does not require a permanent hydraulic connection to the tractor. It is therefore an automatic and autonomous system.
The system consists of a control box in the tractor cab, a level indicator on the front of the body and an automatic height adjustment system. The slope position adjustment is fitted in combination with the Hydro-Pendul running gear. It allows the level of the chassis to be adjusted horizontally so that the tipping trailer can be emptied on uneven ground.
JOSKIN booms offer the possibility of spreading over large widths and applying the slurry at the foot of the plants without soiling the leaves, which allows to greatly reduce nutrient losses, not slow down the plant growth and avoid slurry residue in the forage. Both models allow to choose between a simple application on the ground or injection. They however have a very similar design. The PENDISLIDE and PENDITWIST have a triangular structure articulated around a central frame and supporting line spreading hoses fixed at 25 or 30 cm intervals. Since they are fully galvanised, they are optimally protected and have a long service life.
The BASIC booms are above all characterised by their outstanding ease of use. This is evident from the moment they are fitted to the tanker: no linkage nor buttress is required. They have been designed to be fitted directly onto the rear manhole (Ø 600 mm), and can therefore easily equip both a new machine and an existing tanker. They are also characterised by their great autonomy. Thanks to their automaton directly connected to the tractor, they integrate as standard all the electrohydraulic equipment necessary for their operation. The numerous high-tech specifications, such as a SCALPER Vario vertical macerator, the Twist anti-drip system or the Lock-Matic hydraulic folding system, ensure a higher quality to these booms, enabling them to provide the operating comfort and spreading performance of a company machine. The BASIC booms fold into a “U” shape at the rear of the tanker.
With a spreading gun, you can reach an area where the tractor cannot go, such as in the mountains, on hills or beyond some hedges. The centrifugal pump of the GARDA/JULIA system can eject the slurry up to a distance of about 40 metres, depending on the viscosity of the liquid being spread. Water irrigation works, for instance in arboriculture, are also possible.
The JOSKIN "wagon"-type trailers are equipped as standard with a spring to hold the drawbar in high position. Hitching the machine becomes a quick and easy operation that does not require the assistance of another person (when you have unhitched the machine in the field for loading operations, for example).

SSN grain augers are stainless steel side transfer augers from Ø 170 to Ø 220 mm manufactured according to the EN 14301 food standard. Depending on the model, they transfer from 30 t to 70 t per hour. They are ideal for turning your Trans-CAP or Trans-SPACE tipping trailer or DRAKKAR into a food transporter. The auger is fitted directly on the grain chute and has a 4.5 m to 5 m long (depending on the model) transfer chute when unfolded laterally. It is driven by a hydraulic motor with medium flow rate (35-55 l/min). It can therefore be used by any type of tractor (new or old).
The WAGO-LOADER is equipped with two 710 mm wide loading ramps as standard. They are hydraulically controlled and supported during the loading and unloading operations by two manual rear stands. As an option, these can be hydraulically operated for more comfort. This means that your vehicle always remains perfectly stable during your handling operations.
The JOSKIN hydrocleaners can also be fitted with a stainless steel tank bottom plate. The advantage is that this type of steel not only has a longer service life (compared to traditional steel that can oxidise and therefore rust), but also a smoother surface. It is therefore the ideal type of surface for sticky sediments.
The WAGO bale trailers are available in 2 versions: galvanised or painted (2K industrial quality paint). The galvanised models have a floor made of folded steel sheet (thickness: 4 mm) with sloping side edges. Their chassis, ladders and drawbar are also galvanised. The painted versions are equipped with a chequered plate floor (thickness: 3/5 mm) with 2.5 cm side edges. Their drawbar and ladders are galvanised.
The spiral pumps on the JOSKIN slurry tankers are equipped with protection systems in the form of external or internal stone traps to prevent them from wearing out too quickly if they come into contact with foreign bodies. Regardless of their configuration, these devices are always equipped with a system to quickly remove stones and foreign bodies.
The STORM system propels the slurry out of the pump by the centrifugal force created by the rotation of a screw around an eccentric pump body. The highest flow rates are achieved with this pumping mode. STORM pumps only work on the discharge side.At 750 rpm, a flow rate of 6,000 l is achieved, while at 1,000 rpm, it rises to 11,000 l. The pump is equipped with a stone trap and is driven by a universal joint shaft on the tractor power take-off.A3-way valve can be fitted at the front of the tank to mix the contents in a closed circuit.
JOSKIN offers a wide range of flexible hoses and galvanised rigid pipes (straight or bent) to connect your slurry tanker to your pit. In order to guarantee an efficient pumping work, it is important to keep the distance between the slurry tanker and the pit as short as possible: this is the only way to ensure that pressure losses due to the friction of the sucked liquid against the inner wall of the suction pipe are kept to a minimum. Which suction pipe diameter to choose? 6’’ (150 mm), 8’’ (200 mm) or 10’’ (250 mm)? Answer: focus on fluidity! The diameter of the pipes, openings and valves influences the pumping ease and speed. Taking into account, for example, a pressure loss of 15 mm (material "at rest" along the walls of the pipe), the useful passage of the 8” pipe is twice as large as that of the 6", and for a 10” pipe, 1.6 times larger than for an 8". Sucking a "thicker" slurry will be much easier with pipes with a large diameter. 6" is the most common type, the most economical and the easiest to handle. The 8" allows the flow rate to be increased, even at lower vacuum levels. Finally, the 10" allows very high flow rates. It is only available for high-capacity tankers with powerful pumps. However, one must be careful: a larger diameter also means heavier suction hoses, hence the interest in large diameter filling arms.
As an option, it is possible to equip your JOSKIN rotary pasture topper or chopper with one or more support rollers (depending on the topper/chopper model). Fitted behind the mowing table, they not only provide a supporting action to bring soil moisture to the surface, to the grass roots, but they also control the mowing height. On very hilly or wet ground, these rollers support the action of the skids and thus ensure a perfect follow-up of the ground relief.
JOSKIN offers several solutions to keep track of the activity of its machines: a counter on float gauge, a pneumatic counter (totaling the number of tankers spread by means of a diaphragm that adds up each depression in the tank), a digital rotation counter (counting the number of times the P.T.O. starts rotating), a vibration hour counter (vibration = machine at work), etc.
These fences are characterised by their versatility: their minimum length is 2 m and they can be extended to 3.6 m by means of a telescopic system. Their storage in the transport position also makes them very practical: they can be folded either to the body sides, without affecting the total width of the livestock trailer, or at the back of the trailer. It is definitely an interesting offer at a low price!
The running gear of the TetraX2 includes 4 wheels side by side (2.6 m wide ground contact), which reduces the pressure on the ground to a minimum and thus better respects its structure. It is also possible to reuse used tractor wheels. In addition to reducing costs, these tyres will not leave any marks on your grassland (low profile). Both pairs of wheels have a horizontal swinging movement ensuring security and stability in bends.
Available as standard on Tetra-CAP, Tetra-SPACE and Delta-CAP and as an option on Trans-EX, this solution increases the versatility of the JOSKIN tipping trailers. It not only facilitates unloading in low buildings, but it also allows to transport more thanks to the possibility of towing a second Tetra-CAP trailer. The side doors are articulated on welded hinges, which are fastened to a steel section. The presence of a large-section gasket around the entire perimeter of the body openings provides a good seal.
The JOSKIN hook-lift systems are equipped as standard with a tipping assistance hydraulic ram (optional on D14 and CLX double-axle models). The ram pushes the telescopic arm vertically when it is in the horizontal (transport) position in order to initiate the unfolding sequence. The hydraulic rams integrated into the chassis and installed on either side of the telescopic arm can then take over and continue this pendulum movement for an easy unloading of the container.
The tipping stabiliser is a particularly useful tool when unloading sticky or ‘slow-moving' material that may remain in the body until the last element of the hydraulic tipping ram is extended. In such a case, it is not unusual to have a negative load on the eyelet. The tipping trailer then tends to lift the rear of the tractor. To avoid this, a suspension locking device called "tipping stabiliser" is the solution. For trailers with a bogie, two hydraulic rams installed vertically between the bogie table and the rear axle prevent the parabolic leaves from bending and stabilise the machine. For trailers with a Hydro-Tandem or Hydro-Tridem running gear, an oil blocking device is activated in the axle suspension system and prevents any shock absorbing effect when tipping.
The "tandem with rods" is the simplest and most economical running gear. Its low centre of gravity is one of its many advantages. However, its obstacle-clearing potential remains relatively low, given its modest clearance (+/- 80 mm). The required traction power (and therefore the fuel consumption) also remains higher than with other running gears developed by JOSKIN.

The turbo-filler allows you to suck in a larger volume more quickly, without forcing the pump. In combination with a vacuum pump, it ensures a better and faster filling of the tank. In addition to being sucked in, the slurry is also “pushed” into the tanker. However, the volume sucked in is larger. Since the turbine pumps with less vacuum, the slurry is less likely to expand (a natural characteristic of slurry) and produce foam.
As a result, the intake volume is closer to that at rest, with a better filling rate. The turbo-filler is available in 6'', 8'' and 10'' (fitting on tanker or filling arm).
JOSKIN booms (except the BASIC range) are all equipped as standard with the (double acting) anti-drip lifting device with Twist system. This ensures a clean transport thanks to a complete rotation of the line hose ends, which prevents any loss of slurry on the road and in the field during manoeuvres. In addition to the anti-drip function, the Twist system has other advantages: it offers a low overhang and, as an option, allows spreading with an exact scatterer without having to remove the boom. The scatterer and two manual or hydraulic valves to isolate it just have to be added.
For a modular concept to be as practical as possible, it is essential that the basic implements can be placed/removed with little effort and in a minimum of time. Guides, which also act as a protections for the hydraulic rams of the hydraulic suspension, allow to place the implement on the chassis more easily. Implements are fixed to the chassis by means of 2 x 3 “Twist Locks” placed all along the chassis.
With the exception of the Trans-KTP 9-11-15 with a 2-part door, all other JOSKIN monocoque tipping trailers are fitted with a one-part, hydraulically opening door. If you want to open the rear door manually and still have a maximum upward clearance (e.g. when loading bales from the back, branches, etc.), then the optional double door is the best solution. In this way, the tailgate can be opened either manually – both doors laterally – or hydraulically upwards.
The rear door of the Trans-EX tipping trailers is a one-part tailgate that opens mechanically. If you want to open the rear door and still have a maximum clearance (e.g. when loading bales from the back, etc.), then the optional double door is the best solution. It is also available in drop version.
At any time, your BETIMAX can be equipped with a hinged 2-part inner fence. It is positioned at a distance of 1.8 m from the front wall on the 6000 model and of 3 m on the 7500 and 9000. The 2-part design allows the lower extension to create the necessary barrier to keep out small livestock. This equipment is useful, among other things, when you load and unload your livestock at different locations. The compartmentalisation allows some of the cattle to be kept inside the trailer, even when the rear doors are open.
This option increases the versatility of the Trans-CAP tipping trailers: it not only facilitates unloading in low buildings, but it also allows to transport more thanks to the possibility of towing a second Tetra-CAP trailer. The side doors are articulated on welded hinges, which are fastened to a steel section. They are hydraulically unlocked from the tractor cab and have an opening height of 600 mm. Closing them requires no manual intervention. The presence of a large-section gasket around the entire perimeter of the body openings provides a good seal.
JOSKIN offers a home-made tyre inflation system that reduces tyre wear when driving on the road, but also the pressure transmitted to the ground by increasing the contact area. From the tractor cab, this system allows you to deflate the tyres in the field (down to 0.8 bar - depending on the tyre) and then reinflate them for road travel (usually around 4 bar - depending on the manufacturer's instructions). To that end, a hydraulically driven piston compressor supplies 4,500 l of air per minute and ensures a rapid change in inflation pressure.
The 4" (Ø 100 mm) unloading arm is a simple model with a length adapted to that of the tank. It ensures an easy transfer of water to sprayers at the field edge. Its supply end is connected to the rear of the tanker (on a quick coupling). The arm pivots vertically by means of a hydraulic joint. However, it is moved to the side manually.
The 6" (Ø 150 mm) unloading arm allows the tanker to easily feed a container or a tank without the driver having to leave the tractor cab. This assembly (on the right in the driving direction) includes a built-in bracket, an industrial slide valve, an immersion pipe and an automatic stop system (max. rotation: 270°).
The 8" (Ø 200 mm) unloading arm allows the tanker to easily feed a container or a tank without the driver having to leave the tractor cab. This assembly (on the right in the driving direction) includes a built-in bracket, an industrial slide valve, an immersion pipe and an automatic stop system (max. rotation: 270°).
The 3 JUROP DL vacuum pumps offer large capacities: 17,600, 21,600 and 25,000 l air/min. Coming from the industrial sector, and more specifically from the hydrocleaners, they have two rotors with lobes instead of vanes. The absence of contact between the moving parts allows a lubrication-free operation. It is cooled by air injection. The advantages of this type of pump are its large capacity and small size. Moreover, the JUROP DL is not subject to wear and tear or pollutant emissions. As standard, it is equipped with suction and discharge silencers. JOSKIN also equips its DL pumps with a temperature alarm and filters to prevent foreign bodies from damaging the lobes.
JOSKIN mainly installs mobile vane pumps driven by an eccentric rotor that always rotates in the same direction: the air flow is directed by a deflector valve to either pump or spread slurry. They all achieve an equivalent vacuum, regardless of the model or capacity. It is therefore the air transfer capacity of the pump that should be taken into account. JOSKIN offers a range from 4,000 to 15,500 l/min. The main models are the MEC from Battioni & Pagani and the PN(E/R) from JUROP. They all have at least one forced drip lubrication that can be adjusted manually or automatically at the factory. The lubrication takes place both during the suction and the discharge phase. The JOSKIN Vacuumoil is specially designed for the pump vanes: a 5 l can is supplied with each slurry tanker equipped with a vacuum pump with vanes.

This macerator has a variable counter blade opening for an extremely precise dosing of the quantity to be spread, regardless of the desired flow rate. A hand-accessible thumbwheel allows the operator to change the flow rate according to the type and quantity of material to be spread. The macerator has a single knife unit in the form of a diabolo that rotates eccentrically on the Hardox counter blade for an even distribution. The air intake system the middle of the diabolo with two inlets ensures a smooth flow in the various hoses to the ground, without suction effect. This compact macerator is equipped with quick-opening side lids and a stone trap for a quick and easy maintenance.
All products manufactured by JOSKIN are guaranteed for 3 years against manufacturing defects, which includes 1 year on everything, followed by 2 years only on parts manufactured by JOSKIN (excluding labour and other related costs). JOSKIN is one of the only manufacturers in the agricultural industry to offer such a long warranty period, without limitation of hours or wear.
The integrated weighing system on the hydraulic suspension, also known as "overload system", measures the pressure in the hydraulic circuits of the axles and drawbar suspension. As a result, the indicated weight is largely independent of the position of the load in the vehicle. This weighing system is not intended for commercial purposes and is for information purposes only: it cannot be used as a basis to invoice the transported quantity. However, it is very reactive and allows, in particular, to monitor the unloading process of the trailer, authorising some manual or automatic adaptations during this process ("dynamic weighing").
The integrated weighing system with bending load cells, also known as "overload system", measures the bending on the axle(s) and the eyelet. As a result, the indicated weight is largely independent of the position of the load in the vehicle. An inner partition bolted at the front of the tank (first third) allows to keep as much weight as possible on the tractor hitch when spreading (e.g. vacuum tanker). This improves grip and traction. When filling, the volumes on both sides of the partition are simultaneously punt under vacuum for a complete filling. When emptying, the volume at the back of the partition is put under pressure first in order to keep the front part filled. When the slurry level reaches the lower edge of the partition, an air in-draft is created towards the front part in order to empty it progressively. This weight transfer system is particularly useful on trailers equipped with a wide, heavy rear implement, such as spreading booms of over 18 m. It indeed partially compensates for the load transfer from the tractor eye to the rear when the boom is unfolded, or keeps the weight on the eyelet as long as possible when spreading uphill.
All arable and meadow injectors controlled by a sequential block have a system (standard or optional depending on the model) to lift the injector in wet areas, thus preventing it from sinking too deeply. This device consists of a valve that lifts the rear implement when going from a dry area to a wet one, while keeping the feeding valve open and the macerator active.
The skids of the JOSKIN rotary pasture toppers and choppers are bolted and allow the mowing height to be adjusted from 6 to 8 positions, depending on the model (between 40 and 150 mm) and the needs. Thanks to their width, these skids not only ensure a good operating stability, but also protect the vegetation by guaranteeing an excellent load-bearing capacity for the machine.
At JOSKIN, we are aware that the working day in the agricultural world does not end with nightfall! In order to be able to continue your work in good conditions, you have the possibility to equip your vehicle with one or more LED working lights. They can be installed either at the rear of the machine, on the sides or in the machines themselves, such as in tipping trailers, livestock trailers, etc.

Yaw chains offer a high tensile strength. Two sets of 4 wearing-off Ertalon rails are placed on both sides of the body floor to prevent the moving floor and the body floor from scraping each other (“steel against steel”). This device is also quieter. The two well-protected hydraulic motors driving the moving floor have two gears: the first one to set the moving floor in motion and progressively increase its speed, and the second one for a quick and regular unloading.
ZSN grain augers are stainless steel rear transfer augers manufactured according to the EN 14301 food standard. Depending on the model, they transfer from 30 t to 50 t per hour (Ø 170 mm à Ø 200 mm). They are ideal for turning your Trans-CAP or Trans-SPACE tipping trailer or DRAKKAR into a food transporter. The auger is fitted directly on the grain chute and has a 3.15 m to 4 m long (depending on the model) transfer chute when unfolded backwards. It is driven by a hydraulic motor with medium flow rate (35-45 l/min). It can therefore be used by any type of tractor (new or old).
